Do You Use a Junk E-Mail To Opt In?

Do you? Like if you have to opt in every single time you want to go to the next page or to get a freebie... Do you use a junk email or do you unsubscribe, or do you stay on the list?

Depends on how serious I am about buying something, or if I'm just doing some trolling..

I use email addresses in the form listxxx@... where xxx is a number that tracks the particular list that I have signed up for. Helps to track problems with people who sell on email addresses and also provides a water tight way to "unsubscribe" if required.

Yes I do - if I like the newsletter then I still can change the email address to a "real" address after a while.

I use a GMail account, and append +codeword to the end of my username.

ie: If my gmail address was fred@gmail.com and I wanted to create a tracking address for superduper PLR, then I'd sign up as fred+superduper@gmail.com

You can instantly create an unlimited number of coded email addresses on the one gmail account, and then filter to folders, block, or unsubscribe to your hearts content.

I have a Yahoo premium account which allows me to create unlimited disposable email addresses, which I use to sign up for things, use on my websites and newsletters, etc. The addresses never expire though, so I can keep using them indefinitely.

The only way I delete an address is if I've first tried to unsubscribe the usual way - and deleting it is my only other option to stop a flood of email that I no longer want.
