Hacked Blog? Would You Buy Protection?

Curious..

1. Has your Wordpress "Admin" been hacked?

2. Would you pay for a product to protect it? If yes, how much would you pay?

I ask because I created a Wordpress plug-in for a group I am in that protects the Admin Area from Hackers. We are thinking about selling if it would benefit internet business owners. So, just trying to get a feel for the market.

The plug-in is encrypted and that is a problem for some buyers. People who have been burned by encrypted programs in the past might think it will send information to a secret site for different reasons. This plug-in was designed to be encrypted because hackers could use the unencrypted code to hack.

What do you think? Is it worth my time and resources to sell it?

    Thankfully, I haven't suffered at the hands of hackers, but
    I would certainly be interested in your plugin.


    As far as price is concerned, I really don't know. I priced my
    Easy WP Affiliate plugin at $9.97 and it sold around 300 in the
    first week if that's of any help.

      Hi John,

      Not many people have been hacked from my own minimal research. There are a few folks that were surprised to find that attempts were made by hackers. I was also thinking of around $10 to $15.
