Has anyone tried video marketing?

Like where you put your url in the details of the youtube video, and then share the video everywhere? I've heard you can make a lot from it, but I've seen only a few stories online.

It is a learning experience. Yes people make money with it but they have talent and know how to 'attract' an audience.

You can put you link in the 'description'.

I love video marketing, when done right.

Keep in mind YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world (behind Google). It gets a LOT of traffic each day, and that number is only growing.

Likewise, competition is high -- although not as bad as organic search, since it takes much more effort to produce a video than to write a quick blog or forum post.

Growing a YouTube audience is a great way to market. I wouldn't make videos just to put your URL in them -- that's likely to fail. The videos themselves need to be engaging and interesting. Once you have an engaged audience, you can direct them to your site and promote offers, etc.

I've done it, and still do it.

The following is taken from a post I made about doing affiliate marketing without a website - #26 of this thread; http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...l#post10528895 :

What I do is I create short YouTube videos (2 to 3 mins long) around niche-specific topics and at the end of every video I give a call to action whereby I recommend the person watching the video to check out the link in the description below my video for more useful info (an affiliate offer).

For example, in the Survivalist market I would create videos such as "how to start a fire with some twine and sticks" and "5 things every survivalist should have in his backpack".

At the end of delivering that content I would recommend the viewer to check out the related resource I have in my description (which would be an affiliate offer from ClickBank, such as the Everstryke Match).

I would say something like, "Don't forget to get your FREE Everstryke Match, it's a waterproof match that every survivalist or outdoorsman should have, so click the link in the description below this video to see if it's still available for free."

Also, be sure to use a domain name and forward that to your affiliate link, you don't want to post naked affiliate urls on YouTube because it looks spammy and no-one will click it.

    ^^ (end of post)

    Regards,
    Daniel

Or something people are actively searching for. I made many thousands with simple videos produced from vendor sales pages. And CPA landing pages like this:

  • Videos are much easier to rank on Google than websites are. Just pick a not-to-competitive keyword phrase (500 to 2000 searches per month) and place the keyword(s) in your title, tags and description. Add a link to a related authority site and have at least 300 words in your description (mention your keyword phrase once or twice only plus variations and related keywords).

Google will rank your video quickly. Again, as long as you stick to reasonably competitive keywords.

How do you find the Google Keyword Planner tool? I tried to find it but apparently you have to sign up for Adwords and give all of your billing info first? Is it anywhere online for free?

  • Video marketing is a great alternative to SEO and PPC marketing strategies as you can get a lot of traffic and followers from your videos. You can make short how-to videos or something handy that is related to your niche.

you can do it yourself, which takes time, but

you can get someone else to do it, from elance, it took a while to find the right person, but each video we do brings us money.

The trick is you have to SEO it properly, literally 90% of marketers, do crappy content VIDEOs and then do not even SEO them properly [including seo the filename of the video]

Then you find these people say VIDEO MARKETING IS crap!

No it is not crap, you just have to do it properly and outsource them right! This takes weeks to learn, but after a while its very very poweful. once a video is up you can literally earn thousands from it day or night.

yeah I don't think anyone here has tried that yet. Does it work?

    lol

Video marketing is one of the most powerful today. People are lazy and do not like to read. A video is much easier for them.

You can place your link below in the description of your youtube video. You can also add an external website such as a blog to your account and you can include a clickable link inside your video's.

Many people do this, it takes some practice and fine tuning to figure out how to appeal to your audience and convert that into clicks/sales, but if done properly can be very lucrative.

    Hi,

I have tried many things but only Video marketing works for me.
As said by fellow warriors it is quite easy to rank video rather than a article or blogpost.
I have tried video marketing with my own way and got success recently. I am approximately earning $100/month. I know it is not very big amount but it rally help me to come over frustration. I am going to scale my system so get more benefit.

Find system that works for you, and after success scale it, I think this is the key to success for anyone.

    It works.

I've been using YouTube to build my email list.

    I have no complaints.

Your best bet would be to give it a shot yourself.

Plenty of course exist on how to do video marketing (Video Traffic Academy by James Wedmore)

    Just give it a shot.

  • Well, I haven't exactly tried video marketing, but as an Internet Marketer and user, I really feel video marketing is making a difference.

It has changed the way people market their product, I myself prefer to watch a video if I want more insight on a product, to say a mobile phone or a mixer grinder.

Every brand is using video marketing one way or the other based on the niche of their business.
But before you start with your video marketing, make sure you've something to offer more than your self-promotion. People are not fool; they want real value if you're not providing it someone else will.

So your prime focus should be offering what would appeal your target audiences, in that case definitely the link in the description will work well to drive traffic to your website.
