Hi everyone, This is a silly question, can you alter the date of a post on a wordpress blog to two months prior to the website being created? The reason I ask is that a website that will remain nameless used an article that I wrote in July word for word with no credit (I'll also moan for the others that he's done it to), and posted it on his website (created on 4th August) with an original post date of 6th August, but has now changed the post date to June. Is this possible? Thanks Dawn |

Hi Dawn, If you click on edit for the relevent post then look a the publish box, you'll see a date setting there. You can set whatever date you wish for any post. |

Well if he has done it, it's obviously possible.

Yes. In the "Edit" section of the post, you can change the post date to anything you like. Cheers, Eric G. |

Dawn - possible and also quite easy. You can even schedule when you want the posts to appear. There is a little link right aboe the PUBLISH button that allows you to change the date or even schedule the post for a future date so it shows up auatomatically on that date. You can also do the same in blogger. Just click on edit post and change the publish date. Interestingly, you could post an article to an article site and get it approved and then it could start showing up everywhere on other sites with a publish date EARLIER than you wrote the actual article. |

Cheers guys I think it is a bit cheeky to fill your website with other peoples hard work and pass it off as your own. Mind you, going by the fact that he put his site up for sale on ebay thinking he would make a mint on his "established" site with 5 articles, along with the copious amounts of Amazon, Adsense and other incomes he was claiming, the winning bid was 1 euro... Things that go around come around, as they say... ![]() Dawn |

Christopherjon Of what I can see of searches that I have done before setting mine up, and speaking to a few people, I'm setting up in a micro niche. I'm committing myself to it for the long haul, I'm writing up eBooks and have managed to write six so far since the end of July (I've got too much time on my hands at the moment), they are not all huge, but I'd like to think that they are informative. From the eBooks, I have written articles to get some marketing, and have sent them to about ten sites including ezines, and today I can say that I'm really pleased with myself as I have found that from 2 out of the 6 articles that I have written, I've found 13 back links. I know for some people this is small fry, but to me at the bottom of what appears to be a huge ladder its great. It hasn't earned me any money yet, but I'm hoping that one day it will do. Dawn |
