I'm thinking a short helpful compilation where Warriors share mistakes they have made will help others form making the same exact ones... My biggest mistake is thinking that "just build it and the traffic will come". that is a TERRIBLE mistake. you need to realize that the key to success is getting traffic to the page. there must be thousands, nay, millions of websites selling good products that are even a bargain to true value... except there is no traffic to see it, and therefore no eyeballs to tell the brain to remove the wallet and punch in the numbers.... what's your biggest mistake? |

Spending too much time on researching new "guru" products 5 hours looking for the next big thing = $0 5 hours writing articles = $$$$ |

Doing 10 things at the something. I always get bored after a few days of doing one thing and I give up. You need to concentrate on one thing then you will make guaranteed money!

3 years back, when I started out, I started proceeding without a concrete business plan and continued to do research and ultimately was beat by information overload. However, things changed after some and I realized the importance of chalking out a proper business plan and sticking to it. Another mistake I made back then was only relying on or looking for FREE information. My mental block was my biggest obstacle to the path of success. But slowly, things started taking a positive turn and after I managed to change my mindset, things began to fall into place and success wasn't very far. Thanks , Jay B. |

I started making money within a couple weeks of starting my IM career in earnest. One of the best things I did was remain relatively ignorant -- I didn't join WF until about 7 months in. If I had started reading about article spinning, blog-flipping, cpa, etc., I think I would have been paralyzed with information overload. I probably would have been sucked into methods that claimed "easy money" instead of putting my heart into developing quality products and articles. Even now, I sometimes lose my focus because I see something compelling that takes me off my track -- it's usually one of those damn WSOs! |

Trying to do 50 million things at one time instead of just focusing and putting all my energy into one project at a time.

This list is by no means exhaustive. Starting 18 projects and getting none done. The biggest one has to be not taking action. |

Not understanding how critical keyword phrases are to success. I'd throw up what I thought was a spiffy title to an article not realizing nobody but nobody would find it because nobody uses the that title as a search term. Dee |

I think a big mistake is to try and make money out of niches or subjects which just don't interest you. How many times have we all thought of promoting something which we no virtually nothing about? There is probably money to be made in virtually every single hobby or niche interest on the planet so why not focus on things we like or know something about so we can then put in 100% effort and our passion will shine through which will build better stronger relationships with our customers. I wish I'd have focussed on things I'm interested in a few years ago as it would probably have save me 2 years of wasted time. It's been mentioned many times that one of the biggest problems is losing focus and moving on to the next best thing instead of seeing through our original projects. I'm now going to focus on two things - one more business related (Wordpress Tutorials) (I know that's maybe a bit sad! but I really do love Wordpress...) My other focus will be on my Driving Blog which I hope to monetize with some wild ideas a bit further down the line. Not sure if that helps anyone or not!? Best wishes - Dave |

My 2 Biggest Mistakes: - Not starting to build a mailing list 3 years ago when I started IM - Getting sidetracked chasing the latest technique offered in the WSOs... Matt |

Oh, my. Have made TONS. Moral of the story, learn from your mistakes, don't beat up on yourself, and keep going until you get it right! Evita PS. have some funny Bloopers too... as in when I built over a hundred backlinks to the .com when what I owned was the .org ...lol... and a bunch more that I won't share. ;-) |

Back in the day when eBay allowed downloadable products I did not include an optin page inserted into the download files. I had sales right and left because there was no shipping costs. oops |

Excellent idea, my mistake was having "match type" set to broad instead of exact when searching for keywords in the google tool. I actually just put up a thread about it, "My first big 'oh crap' moment......". -Jon |

Not staying focused. You need to stay focused on one thing until you start to see financial gain before moving on to something else. Otherwise you are wasting your efforts. Locpic63 |
