It depends on what kind of product. Is it' a software? If it is, then you need to test to make sure it functions properly on every platform and media (desktop, tablet, phone, windows, apple, android, etc.). If it's an ebook or course, you get reviews. Negative reviews means you need to make changes. Testing now can save you money and hassles in the long run.

    Imagine this.

You've made a video course, software product, or something else. You write some sales copy, and work really hard to get a bunch of affiliates with big email lists to help you launch it.

It goes live, and... it barely converts. So much traffic is wasted, trust is broken with the affiliates who took a risk with you, and your product is pretty much worthless. You'll never get anyone to promote your products again. They know it's bunk.

Now imagine you take some time, do some segmented split testing, maybe do a bit of PPC traffic to establish numbers. You work out that your product converts at 6.2% after testing (just throwing a random number out there).

As a result, you get MORE affiliates on board (since you can provide conversion data), you can make sales projections before launch, you actually make money, and you build trust from your mailing partners instead of burning bridges.

Lots of testing can be the difference between a $1k launch and a $100k launch.

My question is why wouldn't you test?

If you think testing is a waste of time then you should inform those top earners who are doing it.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Testing makes the product perfect, its product value increases if it will have a bug, little money or investment you can do, but there are communities where people can do beta testing free of cost. So it all about depends upon your project and your strategy. thanks

I've made the mistake of not testing my entire funnel before promoting it. One time I had an ad running, but one of my links were messed up and I ended up losing a lot of potential sales.
Test, test, and test again. Have a friend go through it for you to see if they find any flaws. This will save you money from hiring a professional tester, which is not really required.
    hope this helps

I can top that. I once ran an Adwords campaign and accidentally used the download page as the destination instead of the landing page.

Fortunately, a friend warned me before too much damage was done. But for several hours I was paying for people to get my paid offer without buying it.

Testing products especially for a software is really a need to see if it's compatible with your gadget and to see if it functions well.. Testing products could keep you away from problems and hassles in the future.
