Thought Mass Article Control Had Lifetime Updates??

So I bought MAC a few weeks back, and I have to say it's not a bad program. Now I've just received an e-mail as I am on their list letting me know that there is some new software out and if I buy it I get a free plug in for MAC. Now wouldn't this be classed as an update? and if so why isn't it free if we get free lifetime updates??

The plugin wasn't created by them if I'm not mistaken, but by friends of theirs who have made a plugin that makes it perform faster.

Fair enough. I still don't see it fair that they can let someone create a plugin for it to sell. they may as well do it with all the updates!
