I am looking to expand the width of my page to fit the quotebox and am banging my head against the wall. Check it out here: My Michigan Auto Insurance .Com How do I expand the width so the quote box fits inside?

Altering WP themes is, to put it lightly, a right royal pain in the ass, I'd ask in the coding forum to see if someone can tell you exactly what and where to alter the code. Chris |

If you can bear the idea of changing the theme, you could choose one that lets you change the width. Anyone that's read my other WP posts will know what's coming next - Atahualpa allows you to use a fixed width of your choice or a fluid width.

If you could tell why you want to change the width of the theme... I noticed that the "free insurance quotes" widget has some trouble appearing properly. Would that be the reason why you want to change the width of this theme? No need really. Just edit the code of the box (In widgets where you added the code) and it will appear just right. Change the value of: <INPUT TYPE="hidden" ID="QBID" NAME="QBID" VALUE="bluglass270x250" /="/"> bluglass270x250 and try 240x250 instead. That should make the box appear correctly. Hope this helps. (You could click on the "thanks" button of my post if it does. Appreciated!) |

Jayson, Chances are that you would be better off changing the size of the quote box. It would be easily done via the blueglass.css file that came with the quote box itself. Changing the css does not change any of the functionality of the box. Changing the width of any part of your theme will have an effect on almost every other part of it. Not something someone that isn't real familiar with css should do. So, changing the width of the quote box. Why not change it? Gene |
