Hello all, I started a business with a friend a few years ago and we struggled pretty hard the first year. Luckily for me I was just helping part time as I have a great job that lets me work some nice hours. I am more of an equity partner in the business, but I am getting off track... We did some interesting new things our second year and things turned around for us. Some people who knew us recognized this and have asked us how we got such a flow of new clients and we shared the things we were doing with them. Eariler this year when we first started to read about IM and found this forum we decided to create our first product, a 33 page typed document explaining all the ideas we had and what worked and what didnt. now we are getting ready to list this product on clickbank. I was thinking to set the price at $47 and make the commission a 50/50 thing so the affilliate would get just over $20 per sale. I was going to create a sales email that affilliates could use to send to their mailing lists explaining the product. Other than that, is there anything else I can do to make my product more attractive to affilliates? I am about 30 days away from our launch and I have time to create anything that would be needed. As always, your ideas are very much appreciated. Thanks |

Hi, The key about selling clickbank products and ebooks is that you allow the reader to get a good feel for what's in your ebook without giving away all your secrets at the same time, its like watching a movie trailer, you give them just enough of the good stuff that they buy instantly on implus. This approche should be visible in your affiliate merchandise, we want to see ebook covers, graphics and advertising banners, photos, screenshots and if possible videos and customer reviews. We have to believe in the product your selling just as much as you do, we need to see real results from the advice your giving. Give away some review coppies and ask the people to give feedback (hopefully good) on what they have learnt and experienced after reading your article. Send me a copy and ill provide a review for you. Overall you need to provide a good communication channel allowing affiliates to request anything they might need from you in order for them to sell more copies. Good luck. |

The single most important thing that makes an affiliate program attractive is having a sales page that converts well. Absolutely everything else is secondary to this. Without this, you can perhaps attract good affiliates, but not keep them anyway. Other things that help to attract successful affiliates, and probably in this order, are:- (i) Not having obvious "sales page leaks" (no opt-in or vendor's contact details on the sales page) (ii) Paying high commissions (iii) Having affiliate tools/tricks/advice available to make it easy for people (in terms of the vendor's long-term future income, this is probably the lowest priority and least important, though it's usually the point most often discussed) Good luck! |

I was planning on doing some articles to help push the sales page when it goes live. Would it be a good idea to offer these articles to the affilliates so they can spin them and post them on artcile sites themselves to promote their lead-in pages?
