Dear Warriors,

I used to get more traffic via facebook, at the same time I am do NOT get even single from twitter.

On facebook, I have about 50-60 friends, On twitter I have about 400-450 followers, most of them are on my niche.

What I understand via this, Facebook is good source to get more traffic

What do you warriors tell about it?

I get way more traffic from facebook then I do from twitter.

Im not into twitter really. It seems that the time you invest in getting traffic from twitter is not worth the money you actually make.

Most of the people on Twitter are following so many people.

It becomes very difficult for them to read each and every message posted.

If you are famous person, then Twitter is great for you.

I have stopped using Twitter because I did not received traffic from it.

I just started on twitter a couple of months back and the results have been a little disappointing. Then again, I haven't built up the huge following that many of the successful marketers have. Haven't done Facebook yet, but have had reasonable success on Myspace. Anyway, I think it's always best to expand your options and focus on the ones that are working.

You can get Great Traffic from both sources... The Key is to build a Following of People that WANT to hear from you. Many people have thousands of friends and followers but are not able to generate any traffic to their sites where as others have much lower friends/followers and generate significant traffic because of the relationship they build with their growing network.

Quality over Quantity... will win every time.

You MUST spend the time to foster a value driven relationship with your followers and friends if you expect them to check out your sites and recommendations.

    Make it a Great Day,

Twitter can be good from time to time, and it's not worth throwing away completely. I've gotten a little bit of traffic from twitter, nothing major, and certainly nothing to write home about. Still, I've made a lot of connections with people and discovered quite a few people worth checking out further.

If you just mass-follow people, and hope they follow you in return, you're going to miss out on what twitter is actually FOR. It's one big party, and you jump in for conversations. You're not going to sell much if anything, regardless of niche, because people don't go to a party to buy something (tupperware and adult novelty parties excluded). If you try to oversell, you're just going to be ignored at best, unfollowed at worst.

Granted, this is just my opinion from what I've experienced, but I've made at least a dozen great connections on twitter. Every single connection was made because I answered a question, not because I followed them, waited for them to follow me, then DM them with my spam link.

I think people are using twitter wrong.

I use twitter like building a list. Make a username thats relevant to your niche (if thats what you're using it for) or product. Something that tells people what your selling/about. Once you get a bunch of followers (which you can usually get by being a follower yourself. You can send your ads out to your followers via the direct message feature.

I get decent response off this, but its a small part of the overall picture
