How do you best explain features? (eBook)

I know benefits are most important, but you have to list features to so people know what they are getting. I'm struggling with this a bit because I see these sales pages with tons of features listed, but my book doesn't have that many "features"

My Book: The Back Pain Secret

Features:
Helps women identify the source of their back pain
Teaches them why it occurs and how to fix it
Has pictures and illustrations to guide them along
Has 16 embedded exercise videos to show them how to treat themselves at home

And that's it. Maybe I can elaborate on each feature, but other than that I'm not sure what to add.

Thanks

You don't need to list all features. You don't need to have more features as well. Sometime... less is more. And people do really love simplicity. The most important is to persuade your target market that you have the real solution for them.

Some times less is more. I would focus on what the selling points of your book are and stop comparing it to others. I know that sounds harsh but I don't mean it in a mean way. Doing things like everyone else is not always a good thing.

Yes, I definitely agree. But I just wrote my very first sales copy. Hint: my first draft SUCKED lol. Best way to learn for me is to copy others...at first at least.

I learned a great phrase from Frank Kern to solve this very problem. "...so you can..."

    For example:

    Feature of the product:
Back Pain Eliminator comes with 20 pain eliminating exercises

    Benefit:
You will be able to enjoy life without pain if you introduce these exercises in your life

Add them together using the phrase "...so you can..." and make them more succinct.

"Featuring 20 pain-busting exercises so you can enjoy life free of pain once again!"

  • Hi,

Maybe you are looking for ways to make your list appear longer?

    Features:
Helps women identify the source of their back pain
Teaches them why it occurs and how to fix it
Has pictures and illustrations to guide them along
Has 16 embedded exercise videos to show them how to treat themselves at home

Example: for "Helps women identify the source of their back pain"
Underneath you can write 3 bullet lists like:
-- What chronic pain on the back might actually mean
-- What common activities are capable of triggering back pain
-- Common causes why you are experiencing back pain, etc etc

(Pardon my wry suggestion but I just wrote it to make my point known). Hope it helps though.
