Facebook ads

For free traffic

You can get tons of high quality (real) traffic from Udimi. This website sells solo ads and has a high level of filtering from scam or fake traffic.

1) Pay for it

2) Do free marketing (forums, youtube, article promotion, blogging, seo, social, etc. it depends on what you want to do).

I used to do heavy free marketing, but it paid off in only small niches that i was in. It's super easy though. For the IM niche, i'm in it for various reasons that you've probably never heard of before. And i just find that paid advertising is the easiest and best route to focus my time and energy on. Good luck though.

Find places online where you can provide value. My post here will specifically be about finding free traffic.

Find forums that relate to your business and find threads and questions people have. Provide insight and value to their question. If you can, link back to your website.
One great place to do this is on Quora.com. People are asking tons of questions and you can provide a ton of value for them. Eventually people will follow you and want to visit your site.

Find other communities that match your niche on Reddit and become a regular. Apply the same principles above and contribute while the odd time promoting your website.

I do not promote spamming any of these sites. Just be a good member that provides a lot! Naturally your traffic will grow.

Now use the search bar above and find the 500 threads where this is talked about.

Fb, twitter and pinterest are 3 of the best social medias that are good in getting free traffic. Just share them your site as many times as you can. Just no to spamming.

It's hard for many people to find free traffic. A lot of people say paid is the way to go, but my company cannot afford the $3,000 a month other companies spend. Not to mention the amount of time that goes into SEO.
