Hi Warriors

I was wondering if any of you no of any good resources for learning how to write more effective PPC ads, Is there any books, ebooks that specificaly teaches this form of copywriting,

I'm not looking for an extensive copywriting course for learning to write salesletters etc, hopefully one day I can find the time to learn to write good copy but for now I'm just looking to write more effective ads

If you no of any good books etc that would be great.

Thanks
Bryan

You're selling the click... So a decent parallel is the checkout aisle at the grocery store(actually the checkout aisle is more like the content network, but the illustration will still work) - look at the headlines and subheadlines on the tabloids and magazines like cosmo. Then imitate. You will be amazed at what it does for CTR. Also, be sure to use camelcase on your URL.

There are quite a few products around that deal with this as I have never bought any of them I wouldn't recommend one to you. Perry Marshall's stuff is supposed to be very good though.

A while back I worked with someone who did a lot of PPC marketing, I used to make his landing pages etc...

What we used to do was mimic what the others in the niche were doing. Don't directly copy there ads but look at them and find common elements.

In particular watch google carefully for ads that stick around for a while, they will be the gold in there cos if they didn't work they wouldn't still be there in 99% of cases.

Then there is the flipside of it and try to stand out a little, be a bit different to attract the click.

Test.... test.... and guess what test some more

Hope that helps and gives you some ideas..

I look at ads in the niche I'm exploring. I scan rather quickly and pay attention to the ads that grab my attention. I use these as a pattern, then change the order or the words without losing the appeal.
I bought Richard Bayan's "Words That Sell" from Barnes and Noble.
When I see an ad that grabs my eye, I look through his book for similar words or phrases that convey the same message.
