Hello dear forum members! So I have this situation.... I created a website/blog posted some content there, collected couple emails, launched fb ads and everything ok BUT I realised that my blog is about Forex in general. And it made me wonder if I didn't make a mistake here? Maybe I should've made smal niche blog I mean like forex strategies or just about forex psychology? So I need an advice should I fix it and make it a niche blog from now on? Or should I keep going with forex in general?

Thank You

    HI,

Forex is a broad niche in terms of knowledge base , but narrow in terms of target crowd .

People who are looking for forex related info may be interested in the following things

    - How to
    - Forex affiliate
    - Advanced tricks
    - Forex site building
    and so on

So depending on how innovative is your solution and if it is reaching out to the right crowd you can easily monetize.

However, just in case you are not able to sell your ideas in terms of selling your idea. there are some other ways to monetize it , by placing ads If you are interested I can help you with ad monetizing.

You are always better off with narrowing the niche-and going deeper, rather than going wide-if your information is too generalized and generic nobody is going to be interested-just put yourself in the shoes of your website visitor, would you be interested in your blog, would you gain any benefits, value by being on it?
    It's that simple really.

Cant Tell: It sounds like you have a money pit; in other words, it has income potential, but you'll almost certainly never see that potential, and in the meantime, simply throw away your money (a money pit is a hungry beast).

If you're new to IM, keep it simple. And I mean very simple.

Pick a micro niche with a few basic characteristics.
    • Evergreen.
    • An audience of buyers.
    • Desperate buyers are best.
    • Quality monetization options.
    • High levels of social engagement
    This is what you want:
    1. An EMD (exact match domain) that has the air of authority.
    2. A blog on that domain.
    3. Either a squeeze (best) or a popup for your newsletter.
    4. Strong opt-in CTA.
    5. Avoid being salesy in your funnel when first growing.
    6. Research what your market wants to know most.
    7. Research what goes viral the most.
    8. Deliver viral-infused blog content and syndicate it.
    9. Deliver high-level subscriber content.
    10. Practice content marketing on your blog.
Above? As simple as it gets. And only one way to go about this but a good, solid way.

Your aims should be as follows:
    • Grow assets: opt-ins, socials.
    • Dominate that micro niche in terms of information.
    • White hat growth (avoid traffic gigs, and any BH tactics).
    • Give away free information (best for growth).
    • Monetize the free (affiliate offers).
    • Concentrate on list and top social growth (FB, Twitter, etc).
    • Concentrate on viral growth.
If you do that right, OP, and fill in the blanks I can't possibly cover in a forum post, you'll be building a strong business.

    Do this:

Concentrate primarily on building your assets. Building your list. Building your social platforms. If you do that? You're building a real business. Become the authority in the microniche. And then? Rinse and repeat. Build up your IM portfolio.

Going into the forex niche without the right competition will make you lose a lot of money. It will be very hard to rank for the keywords in the forex niche without spending $$$$ for seo. Fb ads and ppc is not cheaper.

So find out a sub niche with low competition and target it.

You can break your content down into categories for your blog. Your categories can be your sub-niches.
