USA - End of Summer Holidays...?

I'm trying to get a feel for when the schools/colleges/universities start their new term in the USA.

Of course, here in the UK we didn't have a summer this year, apart from 14 minutes at 11.36am on June 23rd!

    Hi Neil,

    It varies by school district and university, but in general it will be the very end of August and the very beginning of September.

    Sounds like I would enjoy the UK with it's short summers and all. I prefer cooler climes.

      Michael is correct.
      The 1st Monday in September is a holday called Labor Day here in the states and most school systems start the Tuesday after.

    Im currently attending a State College in California -- We begin our Fall Semester on August 26th...And other schools are beginning all the way into the end of September

    It was 3 days ago last Sunday at 11 mintes past 3 and lasted precisely 6 mins 30 secs
