Probably Bing, but their PPC can be costly. Maybe not as expensive as Google Adwords, but from my experience, Bing's CPC has gone up in recent years.

Before you do any paid traffic, you should make sure you're driving traffic to a page where you can build an email list for the following reasons:

    - Most people need to be exposed to an offer a few times before they buy, so capturing an email address allows multiple opportunities to close the sale.

    - You can promote multiple products to the same person(s) so this gives another opportunity to make more money from your traffic.

    - You can use those subscribers to leverage anything else you're doing, such as building a blog. By sending out an email to your list you can get a new blog post some exposure and shares (which brings in even more blog readers).

In other words, building an email list gives you more mileage out of your traffic.

If you directly link to an affiliate product, it's going to be much harder to turn a profit (almost impossible in many cases).

To answer the question of which paid traffic source is best, that depends on what you're promoting and how well you target your audience.

However, some sources worth looking into are Bing ads, Facebook ads (you have a lot of options here), and banner advertising on niche blogs and forums.

    Regards,
    Daniel

The best way to promote a clickbank product is not by sending cold traffic to a sales page.

My advice to you would to pick a niche that want to focus on.

Next...go to clickbank and pick 10 or more products in that niche that you would like to promote and copy down all your affiliate links.

Next...Create or find a report in that niche to give away.

Next...create a marketing funnel (squeeze page, autoresponder, etc..) to give the report away and build a list.

Next...find some free content to give away to your list (10 or more)

Finally...Create follow up messages in your autoresponder that alternates between the free content and the clickbank products that you want to promote.

Then, you should buy traffic and send it to your marketing funnel.

This is exactly what you would need to do in order to do well with Clickbank!

Is it smart though to pick a niche of say...Clickbank product reviews, then basically promote all sorts of products on CB? I mean you can end up promoting weight loss, how to make money online, dog training etc... but your niche is product reviews. Does that work?

    That's easy.

The best paid traffic sources are those which allow you to target your offers to people ready to purchase exactly what you are offering.

It's that simple. Now you need to do your homework and find those sources within your niche.

In my opinion Facebook is the best option for Paid Ads. I usually use Facebook to bring targeted traffic to my product and found good result. I suggest you to customize your Ads on the basis of Age, Sex, Geological location.

PPC is what I always start with followed by testing with some banners. Thing to understand when starting out is you want to find products that are already proven to convert. Something with EPC's or Earnings Per Clicks. Once you have that you can direct link with your campaigns but to really increase and leverage your marketing efforts you want your own landing page.

Once you master the process you can sort through the hundreds of pages in the clickbank marketplace and find some gold gems to promote!

Technically you can pay for traffic to a clickbank product from almost anywhere. Even on a porn site. Your problem isn't traffic. Judging by your question.... i'm assuming that you're absolutely no good at internet marketing, and what it means to "market a product online".

But start with Bing Ads and Adwords. Do joint ventures with list owners in your niche, and consider advertising on Youtube. Start your own affiliate program, and advertise on Clickbank. Also advertise on non-competitive sites in your niche.

first of all here are my tips after selling over $293,000 in clickbank stuff.

    1) List building is essential. Clickbank sells via email list ridiculously well.

    2) dont you dare you junk or cheap traffic. Cheap traffic is cheap for a reason, pay more, for better quality traffic and subscribers.

    3) Give first and you will be reciprocated with profits.

    4) Ensure you do not get caught up in what people say, and make sure the sales letter you see is high converting. There are a lot of crappy low converting sales pages there. I could have made more if I tested more sales pages.

    Hope this helps.

I suggest you build a list first before promoting any affiliate offers.

Send targeted traffic to your landing page where you give away some great content.

Promote affiliate offers in your newsletters through autoresponder.

    Don't promote the products directly.

Setup a squeeze page and build a list. Provide values to your list and then you can start promoting stuff.

Promoting directly a product without building a list is a newbie mistake. Don't do it!!

Concerning traffic, it really depends on the niche. If you are in IM. I would suggest Solo ads.

    Cheers,

    C.G.

Bing is the best option for PPc ads in my opinion. You can use solo ads as well. A lot of testing and monitoring will be required to create a successful campaign...

Create an email lists that converts, Paid traffics are short term projects and the traffic doesnt guarantee you about sales, But a good email list can help you making money more faster and for long time.

As mentioned above you'll want to be building a list especially when promoting cost-per-sale Clickbank products as only 0.5%-5% of people will buy and the majority of traffic would be wasted.

Plus with the direct linking model your earnings live and die with the offer, if the vendor takes down the product everything is lost.

Furthermore most people won't buy on their first visit you'll have to set up an autoresponder sequence to sell them on it.

Doing things this way will make you more money, for a longer time.

It will be best to first build a list..by offering something free and of value. Don't do what most beginners do, which is rush into sending directly to what you are promoting.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[10702470].message }}
  • If you were looking to just direct link then try Nextmark or Arcamax who has targeted newsletters and send one of the broadcast emails the vendor gives you to them or have Arcamax/Nextmark make a creative for you. Although you are charged for views rather than clicks the quality there is awesome and your roi should be good as long as you choose a high converting product. Otherwise go the free giveaway on a squeezepage/list building route as others have already mentioned

Best traffic source would probably be from your email list that you
    aren't building.

Its my best traffic source right now.

Don't fall into the mistake of thinking that you just need to send
traffic to your affiliate link and that you start making money
and think things are all good.

    Wrong answer.

Because what happens when that traffic source goes away?

Your income goes away with it.

Build your email list if you are going to promote products on
    ClickBank.

Then drive traffic to your landing page, that way if the
traffic source goes away you still have an email list to
    send offers too.

I personally love Bing Ads, because they convert quiet well for me, and also add to my email list. Apart from Bing I sometimes do Solo Ads but they can be really tricky so I'd stay clear of that unless you really understand how to setup a good funnel, and know good sellers. If you do want to try out Solo Ads you could check out the facebook group "Solo Ads Testimonials" as real people actually give testimonials of different sellers and you could find good sellers there.

    Hope this helps!

Hey, if you are planning on sending traffic directly to your offer, you will hardly get any sales. My advice is build a sales funnel and send traffic to your squeeze page and ask them to signup to your newsletter. Then you can promote your offers with autoresponders. But remember to provide value to your list before asking the sale.

You can use solo ads, Facebook, Bing, Google Adwords to drive traffic to your squeeze page.
    Good luck!

I would use facebook to get users to sign up to an email list for a "free gift". Once they are on your list you can market multiple products and continue to try and sell them. Its not very often you get a sale on the first time around. So keep emailing, they will start to recognize the names and grow more comfortable, and then eventually, some buy!

This thread is a tad old, but i'll add my 2 cents.

IMO it's a very broad question.

I think it's more important to identify a particular niche and then figure out the best way to promote to that niche.

This is why most people are fail for use PPC for promote clickbank. I will create free giveaway landing page (Collect email by use free ebook). Like others have said if your paying for traffic you need to get their email first, so you can promote to them over and over again so you get the most from your ad spend.

As for traffic source, Facebook has the best targeting and demographics and you can really pinpoint your perfect customer that are likely to buy something.

Choose one traffic source and really study it and get good at it, rather than jumping from one to another. Don't make it harder for yourself.

There are other things to consider too, you need to do your figures.

If you are say for example paying $100 for ads and you only make 1 sale and your commission is $50 you will be down $50.

On the other hand if you pay $100 on ads and you make $100 commission and you break even, but you are getting them on your list, you are basically building your list for free which some marketers would be happy with.

Other things to be aware of are the vendors sales page.

Make sure the sales page does not have pop ups or any other links that go to other pages, because if one of your leads go's to the sales page and clicks a link and go's to another page and buys something you wont get you commission even though you paid for the traffic.

    Something else too:

This has never happened to me, not that I'm aware of anyway, but I've been told that if a vendor uses more than one payment option, you might only get your commission from 1 of those options.

    Hope that helps a bit
