Default I'm stuck on ideas for my niche . . .

Hi guys,

This is my first post! I am currently very stuck on content to provide to the niche I have decided to go in, which is Learning and Memory Improvement. The only thing I can immediately think of to provide is eBooks of some sort, workbooks in a PDF format, etc. I think that providing videos dealing with these subjects because in my own quest for better learning and a better memory video training of any sort never came into the picture whatsoever because they don't seem very relevant to something like this. Learning IS something I have had a huge trouble with in my not so recent past and I want to help other people overcome their problems with certain techniques, methods, and ideas that I have adopted because it can have such a huge impact on peoples lives - I'm just not sure what else I can provide besides eBooks and workbooks to accompany them.

The most popular memory improvement business I have seen online is a website called 'PMemory.com'. I have seen some of the lessons that they have and am unimpressed with the information they provide as a WHOLE, even though I'm sure a lot of their techniques work (they are based on Mnemonics, even though they say Mnemonics don't work . . .)

So any feedback you guys could give me would be very appreciated. I think watching that video with Tony Robbins, Frank Kern and John Reese yesterday flipped a switch in my head to get off my ass!

Thanks so much,

SS

Hi, darktemplar - I've just spent hours reading this forum (joined here months ago - went elsewhere for awhile - now back sucking up information

Couple of thoughts for you as I had just done some reading on this topic. I've read that diet, exercise, and memory improvement games/techniques are all important in strengthening one's mind and memory. Perhaps you could do some research on foods, diets, and recipes geared towards brain health and offer ebooks in those areas. There are certainly tons of exercise products available you could consider.

In terms of brain exercises, logic games and puzzles are excellent ways to develop stronger brain pathways. The Nintendo DS offers at least one brain training game and I believe there are a few similar products available online.

While I haven't had much luck with Clickbank products, I did see one recently that had something to do with music programs geared towards brain training. The landing page looked really good and the site was current - both things I look for when promoting a product. Buyers choose certain types of music for relaxation, etc., and can download them right away. Might be something to consider.

Just a few ideas. I'm absolutely not an expert but thought I'd share with you what I'd seen.

Good luck,

Erica

Few ways to come up with content...

1. Keyword research - find some long tail keywords...
2. Subscribe to bunch of popular blogs, just write about anything you find interesting.
3. Visit article directories, copy ideas from articles.

Hi darktemplar

The first thing that came into my mind was the Nintendo DS memory games - worth looking into any info on them or even do some reviews on them and possibly see if there are any affiliate programmes associated with them or similar products.

You could also do a search in Amazon to see what books are provided on the subject. Some books allow you to see inside the contents page - this can give you ideas for topics for article writing.

Think about different methods of remember things, events, dates etc. Some people use repitition, others write a list or carry a notebook with them and have notes jotted down.

Look to see any differences in learning/memory for children, older people and elderly people.

Foods to boost the memory, importance of breakfast and 'brain food' etc. Then look at the opposite, e.g. the effects of alcohol or binge drinking on the memory.

Hope that's been of some help and given you some ideas.

Mary

Hey guys,

Thanks so much for the replies! I think what's probably the best is to focus on just all of the related topics (as you all suggested) and putting it a form of eBook. I don't have any way to develop software or anything, I need to keep it simple at first. Amazon HAS helped a lot - I've also gone through all the memory/learning books I have here at the house and have been brainstorming, putting together an outline, table of contents, etc.

Thanks again!

If you don't need to develop software then fine. But if you feel that some sort of software can be helpful, there are quite a few talented people here who can help you.

Have you thought about personally reversing your niche? What I mean by this is consider writing articles/posts about things that are factors in people losing their memory. Then explain ways people can avoid such habits/diseases from happening.
