Best way to promote a blog post?

Hey guys, what are your thoughts on promoting blog posts? I'm pretty new to all this, so any help would be appreciated. I did some research though, and it just helped me fall deeper into a hole lol. Anyway, Here's an example from my research (The Digital Marketing Rookie Checklist). Would I just be better off going to the niche groups for promoting this (like I'll just join random digital marketing groups?) or is just wide exposure the best way to go (like just social media in general)? Any other like hidden secrets to promoting?

A good way to promote your blog posts is through social media blog post exchanges.

In other words...You promote other people's content via social media and in return they will promote your content.

Of course if it is a blog post that could be of interest to a large scope of people putting it on social media and going Viral is something to consider.

Also, doing some blog commenting leading back with a link to this Post can be beneficial

You can set up a facebook page related to your blog and when you create a post you can share it on your page and sponsor it for as little as 2 or 3 dollars per day and you can get a lot of traffic to it. Hopefully it's something where people will interact on your blog with your social buttons and help spread the word.

In your post, out bound link (no follow ok) to 10 other pieces of content that add to your post.

Email those influencers and let them know that you're a fan of their content and that you included a link to his or her post.

And if they could share your post on their favorite social media. Some of these bloggers will comply
