How many affiliates have you guys recruited through JVZoo? And how much traffic are you receiving from those affiliates monthly?

According to my JVZoo dashboard I've got 130 (lots more with WarriorPlus)

But there's a world of difference between the number who apply and the number who promote even once.

The 80/20 rule applies big time.

Hey Trevor, thanks for your answer. I am wondering how much did it take you to get those 130 affiliates?

Also are you saying out of 80 affiliates only 20 are active promoting your products?

Probably less than that - the 80/20 rule is only a rough estimate for lots of things (the Pareto principle) and affiliate marketing is probably closer to 95/5.

    • Affiliates sign up - that's the easy part. MunchEye and Facebook groups alert them to that.
    • Then they have to drive traffic - either to their list or via a video or similar. That rules a lot of them out, probably a majority
    • Then that traffic has to generate sales - that will depend on the amount of traffic they drive plus how "warm" it is plus how well your offer converts
Basically a long way of saying it's a numbers game like most things on the web.

    Trevord92 is correct.

80/20 is being generous. Most never make a sale.

So, find the one that do make a sale and put them on a special list where you give them more attention and free useful info etc...

I run my program through Shareasale and I'd say it's more like the 95/5 rule or something like that and I have a few hundred affiliates over there.

Really, I could cut all but 15-20 of them and not really notice a huge difference.

I think the part of affiliate management that people miss out on is the recruitment of top line affiliates, depends on crafting a personal relationship.

All it takes is one good affiliate to make you 5 thousand a month. Get yourself 3 ro 4 super affiliates and they will get you all the traffic you will need.

To get alot of my affiliates, i always try to promote my affiliate program OFF OF an affiliate network. But the more sales you get for your product, the more people will sign up to it (for some affiliate networks). And the more affiliates you get who are making sales for you, the more popular your product will become also.

Check out JVNotifyPro, WarriorJV, and MunchEye. Those are the best spots to recruit affiliates.

    Not enough good ones.

On my first JVZoo launch I received over a hundred affiliate requests...most of which I did not approve. At the end of the day about 1 dozen affiliates ended up making me (and them) some money, and ten others scored me some vending machine change with 1 or 2 sales each.

I did not reach out to any super affiliates, I did reach out to a half dozen peeps that were involved with images and graphics around the forum.

I believe the most fruitful "launch calendar" site for me was MunchEye.

    Best of luck!

    Cheers
