To be honest with you...You are not going to get suitable answer by asking such a general question because starting an online business is far too complicated and detailed.

So..Here is my advice. Go to this forum post...

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...my-answer.html

Note: Follow the steps suggested in that post by using "Start An Online Business" as your starting key word.

Have you read any books about starting an online business? Have you ever heard of Ebay, Fiverr, or freelancing? What are your strengths, what kind of business do you want to run, and how much work are you willing to put into your business? You didn't even do a simple search at the top to search for a solution to your question.

You want to make a web design business? There's a lot of competition in this over saturated field. What's even worse is that many casual people are turning to places like web.com or Fiverr to get their sites done for free or minimal costs.

Maybe better idea to start a business where there's little to moderate competition.

Come up and create a guide of some sort to help solve a problem or provide a solution in your market. Games in this case. Research and you will see patterns and address what people are looking for in a free offer. Could be as simple as an ebook. What ever you want. Build yourself a subscribe base! Start now and now later. Your list will be your asset later on that you can leverage agaist. Very powerful

Bottom line, since you want to start an online business...here's my two-cents...

Quite awhile back...after all the overwhelming and frustrating possibilities
offered by every 'guru' under the sun...mostly with little to none experience
making money online...and ALWAYS promoting 'HOW' to make money
online...I was able to actually find a few that'll be straight-up and honest
with you...and I mean after years of trial-and-error...

If you want some straight no bs answers to your questions, and if I was
asking your question...I'd take a look at these guys and get a feel to who
    I wanted to work with...

    Garry Desmarais at garrydesmarais.com
    Declan O Flaherty at slapheadmarketing.com
    Chris Malta at worldwidebrands.com

These are the only guys I listen too...these days...oh sure, there's a few
others that are damn good...straight and no bs...

Yet, these are the three I personally like...everybody to there own...

These three won't lead you astray...promise...hope this helps!

      Second for Declan.

Be careful who you let into your head. If you get a lot of nonsense in there, you'll just end up overwhelmed and confused and not do anything.

There are a few Click Bank superstars who got started in Gaming Niche offering Gaming tips infoproducts.

I think you would do quite well since you have a sincere passion for it.

You can stay in the gaming niche. You can create your own Youtube show where you play the latest games. Have a weekly show where you discuss the latest games that are coming out, tips and tricks, etc. There people making $10-$20K per month and more just by doing that.

If you actually build an e-mail list you can promote other offers to them as well. There's a bunch of offers on clickbank that you can promote as affiliate in this space.

Also, survey your own gamers to find out what other kind of stuff they like to buy the most. Once you discover that, you may uncover a parallel niche to gaming that you weren't thinking about.

For example, a lot of fitness people can promote dating offers to their list and make it work because most people want to get fit to impress someone from the opposite, or today's world (same), sex.

One of my highest performing affiliate campaigns was promoting an IM product to a Real Estate Investing list. Why? These people simply want to make money. That's their ultimate driver. If that makes sense. So find that kind of stuff about gamers.
