Best course for ABSOLUTE beginner to start a REAL online biz?

Hey everyone?

I got to where I am today by learning from a lot of different people over the past 10 years. Definitely wasn't one course that got me here. Now I've got some people with genuine business ideas that want to sell online, but know NOTHING about the basics.

I'm looking for a kick-ass course designed for beginners that's got all the essentials. Stuff like:

- list building
- basic marketing funnels
- basic tech and tools
- product creation (upselling would be great too)
- overall strategy/mindset
- doesn't need copywriting, but that wouldn't hurt (I've got other recommendations for that)

Ideally it's something comprehensive, not a bunch of different products.

Thanks!
Mitch

In my opinion there isn't one go-to course for Internet marketing. I believe the best thing to do is to identify the needs of your business (as you've somewhat done with list building, funnels, product creation, etc).

Your plan is going to vary greatly based upon what you're selling and who you're selling it to. Along with probably hundreds of other variables.

I think you summed it up best in your intro.. You've learned a lot from a lot of different people to get to where you are today. To succeed with IM, you'll probably have to learn a lot from a lot of different people other than one comprehensive source.

You learned from many different people and not just one course. So why would you expect creating a business to be any different? It isn't.

      Thanks guys.

My path wasn't the easier path. I had the tech savvy and gumption to dive in and learn whatever it took. And it worked.

But the person asking me for help knows absolutely nothing and she's not tech savvy.

I know there's not a one off solution that will give her everything she needs, but I'd love to be able to recommend something that gives a solid foundation to digital marketing and selling digital products online.

      Make sense?

I have found that the best online course for a beginner is no course at all until you figure out all the questions that you need answered.

Before spending your money on an online course that will confuse and frustrate you because you don't understand the marketing terms used and don't know how to implement what they are teaching...You should first do your own research to figure out what you need to learn.

You first need to either search this forum or google for how to start an online biz.

Doing this search and finding that answer will lead to you have more questions. Keep searching and finding answers to questions that pop up in your head, as you are doing your own research.

After you have gained some knowledge of exactly what you need to learn how to do and how, then you should focus on finding courses that answer those specific questions.

In other words..you will get better results from courses designed to address specific topic instead an all-in-one course teaches you everything all at once because you will get overwhelmed with all the new information that's coming in all at once.

Take it brick by brick, instead of trying to build a castle in a day.

    Just one man's opinion.
    Good Luck.

So nobody has a single course or book to start with? I appreciate the feedback and I agree with a lot of it, but knowing this person, I'm confident searching google or this forum would not only be confusing, but easily lead her down the wrong path.

If that is the case, the purchasing a course on building an online business is going to be even worse.

You need to understand, most online courses are not newbie friendly. These courses speak in internet marketing language and most assume that you understand this language and can follow along with everything they say.

Starting off with one if these courses is an option, but eventually she will end up having to do the same research that I am suggesting, just to keep up in the course.

But If you insist on a recommended course , then here is a free course on Udemy to get her started. It has a ranking in Udemy of out 4 of 5 stars.

      https://www.udemy.com/how-to-start-a...ess-from-home/

Note: I simply did a quick google search to find it. Which is the point that I am trying to make. If she followed my advice, she could have done the same exact thing.

Honestly, it doesn't sound like owning a business is the best idea for this person right now. If she can't even browse a forum, search google, and make her own decisions then she's going to have an awful tough time as a business owner.

Maybe the one in your signature? LMAO!

Maybe I should tell her the same thing and try to get her to click my sig?

No...I would rather help people than to make a quick buck and lead them down the wrong path.

      But that's just me.

If you even bothered to read the OP's post, then you would know that they are looking for a specific recommendation and not just a quick blurb that does not help in the least.

We can tell who is here to contribute to the community and who is here just to make a quick buck.

      Good Luck With That!

        Actually,

There are plenty of posts on this forum by me in which I teach step-by-step FOR FREE how to make money online.

Yet, I have never seen one made by you.

Again, posters with thousands of posts that are overly negative and don't bring an value to this forum should be banned.

The community will be better after that.

I did not say to buy my product. The person asked how to get started, and I told him or her to go in the WSO ( there are hundred of products) , buy one and follow the system. This is exactly how I started!

If this doesn't make sense to you, then good luck to you,

Ps: I find it funny that you talk about Ethics when you signature promise 500 000 visitors for FREE. Give me a break and get to work is my advice to you.

        Valmont.

The best course is actually doing something. I'm sure you've read alot of books on online business, but have you gotten started yet? Do you not believe the information in these books? It doesn't matter what the best course is. All that matters is will you follow the advice given in these courses?

Do you have the knowledge yourself to create a simple guide for the people that you're looking to help?

I used Profit Canvas by Brett Rutecky and Mike from Maine. They pretty much show everything from start to finish. They have a ton of easy to follow video's. Between the two of them, you can get a great start.

Well, it seems that pursuing the idea of building one course like that could probably be a business opportunity..

I will tell you that it is hours and hours of A2Z , so she needs to be dedicated. I only used about half and jumped my game big time.

Study this forum, and remember to search for your question to see if it's been asked before.

You'll find plenty of helpful info if you just do that, and it won't cost anything.

I'd recommend checking out Mathew Woodward's blog, as he's got some really good stuff for newbies.
