What video editing software do you guys use

Hey Warriors I want to make a 5-10 crash course video about all things video for those who don't have a clue how to make decent videos. My problem is though I don't know what most of you Warriors use to edit video if you even have editing software. I personally use Final Cut Studio but have used Vegas, Premiere Pro, and Avid and they are all pretty much the same. I just hope if I use Final Cut that people will be able to translate it over to their editing software. Let me know what you guys use so I can create the best video I can for free. Thanks.

Sony Creative Software - Vegas Pro, Vegas Movie Studio, and Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition

I personally have the Pro version. But I hear the other Movie Studio versions are just as good.

Movie Studio is fine if you don't need unlimited timelines, otherwise get Pro. I've used Vegas, Avid, and Premier and for me, at least, Vegas was the easiest to learn and use.

Now that I have bought a Mac, I need to get Final Cut Pro and give it the once over

Hey Chuck, thats what I did when I got my Mac. 1300.00 price tag for Final Cut Studio and one hell of a learning curve but it's totally awesome and powerful software.

Not the best, but ok for my needs

Hey Kenneth, our IT department just bought Mac Pros for all of our video and graphic work after using PC's for years. I bought the iMac for the home and am waiting on our guys to get their various Mac softwares.

We normally buy a company license for all of our software and put it on the server so that it can be accessed by several. What I don't know, yet, is if we will be able to do that with the Mac software.

I'm still using Vegas now and the IT department uses Premier. But eventually we will all move to Final Cut Pro.

I recommend Vegas Movie Studio Platinum for most internet marketing projects:

Sony Creative Software - Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum Edition - Introduction

The price is reasonable and it has enough advanced features that most folks won't outgrow it. I do my screen capture videos with Camstudio (free) and load them into Sony Vegas for editing, post-production, and rendering.

I am using camtasia, it works for me and I have not tried vegas. I had a video pro show me that software and I went with it because of the personal instruction.
