I don't know if I clearly understand your question, but there are a ton of sites to purchase that are under $1000 that could get your started making money.

There are a lot of rubbish sites out there, but be sure to look deep into the site and look at the seller's history and associated comments.

There are new sites popping up everyday on there, so you shouldn't have a problem finding one that suits your needs.

    I hope that helps!

I would also look at Digital Point for sites selling for no more than $1,000. Sometimes you'll find a gem on there.

Your concept of investment in web based assets, and initial goal of "not having to put tons of work in" are completely off base & simply will never work.

Any stable investment in any web based asset, whether or not if it's making money will take substantial "work" for it to be able to do what you want it to do.

In your case, it seems as your goal is continual profitability. First & foremost, you need a sound operational strategy to ensure continual profitability. This is separate from your initial investment strategy. Your operational strategy would be based on the current state of the web based property you purchased & what level you aim to get it to. Plain & simple, there is No such thing as "not put work in". You actually have to do something and do it on a consistent basis. Whether it be managing the operation flow, updates, etc.

In your case, any site can be developed from scratch & achieve the same results you are wishing. But, to think that "flippa" is a sound investment strategy for the goal of having profitable websites without having to do no work, honestly, you've already failed.

If you want a great "Clickbank Ready" website, I can definitely give you a great suggestion (well below 50% of your accepted price tag).
      Just send me a PM.
