Helping a non-profit: Quick YouTube IM crash course?

I am helping out a local non-profit horse rescue. We've made a short documentary that covers the plight of the horses they work with and I would like to post it to YouTube in an effort to drive traffic back to their site and ultimately help increase donations to the cause.

I have done keyword research around their name and I am ready to upload, but would love to do as much as I can to drive traffic.

I am searching the forum now, but would love to get this up today, if there's time. Your links to other posts or other sites are appreciated.
