What is your opinion about Revnue share programs

hello All

Hope you are having a nice Saturday .

Recently I came across a lot of advertisements of Revenue share programs . People are literally jumping in to them. Some of them have even closed down in short period of time. Some people have made a lot of money from it as well.

Even though many label it is a ponzi scheme , MLM program etc .. still some good things are the traffic can still be meaningful if properly positioned

A note worthy point is . Paypal is restricting these programs and have imposed some strict regulations on how they should function.

Looking forward to hear your views.

Cheers

Revenue share is when you promote a company's product, and you get a percentage share of everything they buy from that company right?

I think it's a great way for businesses to advertise and attract affiliates. I also believe it's a great way for people to make money because you get paid for everything the customer buys and not just one sale.

      Hi Tobias

Actually it is a bit different

Revenue share / Advertise revenue share programs basically , give you the scope to by Ad shares. which appreciate at a 100 to 120 % rate in 60 to 90 days time. there are several intricate terms and conditions . They sell ad space and the profit that is generated is given by to share holders . that is how their revenue ad income is generated.

I understand what you mean. You are talking about companies such as clickintensity.com right?

Revenue share is also an advertising form, that many big companies are using.

Yes,, but those guys dont give you back 120 % return. e.g. if you put in $100 you dont get $120 in 30 to 35 days.

It's said that most of these programs are only profitable for about 6 months. After that, the amount of new members that sign up drops and they can't afford to keep the programs profitable because of a lack of new funds.

As more and more of these programs pop up, the market becomes even more saturated and the amount of time they remain profitable will decrease.

Of course...this is just my opinion.

You are right about the time frame . sometimes it is more sometimes it is less.

however why it fails could be several reasons. the return rate is too high as compared to conventional financial businesses that is why it may not be sustainable. early joiners try to cash in and cash out , which makes the system unstable.

However I see some of the systems are still running after 1 year. some have restricted the cash out .. Have you guys opted in for any program

If u join them during the prelaunch or at the start, and can promote heavily and get referrals, u will make some profit. Always read their terms, generally all will specify that revenue distribution depends upon ad pack sales. And that is the catch. Basically its a way to make quick money but with a huge risk. If u hav some play money then u can try but its not a long term reliable income source.

Makes sense .. You are right about the long term sustainability. However there is some scope of these companies surviving . I see couple of programs still running well. But not sure if they can sustain more than 2-3 years.
