How to get into amazon affiliate program?

Hey,
I have two questions.
Firstly, I've seen that they "might" approve a facebook fan page if it has enough followers.

Any of you know how much "enough followers" is? I asked amazon and of course they are not willing to disclose this information.

Second question, if i get approved by adding a website, can I also then drive traffic through fb fan page directly to amazon without having that fanpage approved? Or will that get me banned?

Thanks.

You should read their TOS, I think once you are approved you can send traffic from different websites. Their TOS says that you can't, but they will allow it if you do not try to spam.

Your best just to ask Amazon.
Or start a website and get approved with the website

The first thing you can do is just apply. There's no cost to doing so and even if you aren't accepted, you can always apply again.

As to how many followers you might need:
    1. 1. It doesn't matter. All that matters (to you) is whether you have enough followers (which again, you can test by just applying)

    2. 2. My guess is there is no magic number. When we were talking to an affiliate rep at Amazon about getting an exception made to a different part of the TOS, she just needed to be able to make a business case for the exception. There was no spreadsheet or other hard and fast rule that she was applying. I'd guess that this is the same with FB pages -- after all likes on one page might be worth more or less than likes on another. As anyone who has done FB marketing knows, it's not likes, but engagement that counts.

Finally, if you get approved based on a website you create you absolutely can drive traffic with it via social media. Even so, it's always best to read the TOS very carefully and then if you have further questions contacting Amazon directly. "Someone on the WF told me I it was OK..." is not likely to be a very convincing argument if you find yourself trying to explain to Amazon why you broke their TOS.

Once you get approved, then you can drive traffic from any kind of sources you are not possible to get banned.

It's more effective if you can take to promote the trending product from amazon

All you are asking for is permitted on Amazon.

Although i barely use Facebook sponsored ads for promoting my links.
I tried that in the past using my direct affiliate links and the ROI was small.
Got only a couple of sales or thereabout after spending close to $100.

If you can do some serious blogging and SEO, it will pay off.
However, i still own fan pages that are incorporated on my Amazon sites
and make some post and promotions.

Amazon wants unique content. When I applied it was with a website and not a facebook page, but I would assume they want the same from both.. Unique content.
