Keyword saturation checker

Hey fellow warriors,

Is there a free tool or place that I can check the % keyword apperance in an article that I have written to ensure it is not overly used or under used.

I understand that 3 - 4 % is about right for KW apperance in an article of 400 words.

Is that correct ?

    I aim for 5-6% personally with my article's.

      You can just use "find" in your browser and count the usage. 5-6% is high.

      I use the keyword phrase once in the first paragraph, one in the last paragraph and the keyword or LSI variation of it once per 100 words in the body.

        Yes 5-6% is definitely high and if you are submitting articles to ezine articles they would not even accept that.

    Thanks also for your reply and that is a simple way of checking to be honest so simple I didn't think of it.

    That kw method you describe sounds sensible as it allows for a variation depending on the size of the article.

    It's all a matter of personal opinion and up for debate like the theory of duplicate content penalties Kay.

    I do what works for me.

    High according to who's standard? Last time I checked, the Google Algorithm was a secret for ranking. So please tell me what you are basing this off of.

    I only mentioned what I personally do. If you want to have 1,2,3,4 percent. I am fine and dandy with that. But don't just sit here and ECHO... This is high without showing me a license that reads either Larry Page or Sergey Brin. Then after you do, I will say... Ok... I will not waste my time trying to change your mind. I will continue doing what works for me.

    I don't submit articles to Ezines, or any article directory for that matter. I have my own sites with authority. Ad Free with no adsense links for the buyer to escape.

    And in most cases, not all. I am ranking above Ezines/ArticleBase for my desired keywords.

    Either way your right MisterWrecker.. Not here to argue with you.. Or change your way of doing business. I was always told there are more than one ways to skin a cat.
    Perhaps you and Kay are correct for where you are submitting and what you are doing. You were speaking from your experience, and so was I.

      P.S. The density of keywords needed is governed largely by the niche you are in. They are all different. A 3% density may be perfect for some keywords, way too small for others and 5 times too large for yet others. I have another tool (not free, but with a free trial) that can determine the density the search engines actually seem to want for any specific niche: http://keywordlsispy.com
