2 Questions I Am Asked Most Frequently As Internet Marketer
2 of the questions I get asked most frequently as internet marketer are:
1. What do you do for a living?
2. How can I teach people to make $ online when I haven't made any myself?
For the first question, I simply answered I am a web designer that helps people to build websites and promote their products/services.
Which is true to a certain extent though it might not be a complete truth.
But isn't it better than saying affiliate marketing, info product creation, e-commerce, SEO etc when most of the people - in particular your families, friends and relatives - DON'T really understand what internet marketing is let alone all those online business models?
For the second question, my answer is you don't.
Teaching people how to make $ online when you haven't made any online is as good as conning others offline of their hard-earned $ on promises that are too true to be good.
You will come across to them as any marketer who is more interested in making profits at their expense than helping them which is probably the reason why MOST people - especially my fellow compatriot S'poreans - are skeptical of entrepreneurs.
Let alone internet marketers.
You leveraged on other successful marketers.
And I mean REAL successful marketers who actually take action and achieved success in what they teach than achieving success from simply teaching others what they never applied but simply learn through theory.
Then once you achieved success by learning and taking action from your mentor or the lower-end course you invested if you can't afford the high-end coaching, then you teach others.
Am I making any sense here?
And it does NOT have to be internet marketing or make money online.
I have friends who are good in Forex and options trading, MLM, and even simple things like cooking, keeping healthy regardless of what age, playing sports and even musical instruments.
But the model they used is the same.
They learn from their teachers more successful than them in their preferred / familiar field.
1. They applied what they learn.
2. They achieved success and then-
3. They teach others what they learn.
Not just anybody but people who actually want to learn as much as them.

Internet marketing - like sales and marketing is NOT just about selling.
It is about connecting, giving value and helping others the same way you like to be when you first started out not knowing what to do and how to get started.
