What Do YOU Pay For Each Month? - Get Continuity Ideas

I thought this would be a good way to generate new ideas for membership sites and/or continuity income streams. No sense trying to re-invent the wheel - lets analyze what people really pay for each month.

Please share what you pay for monthly.

I'll start with a few things I keep paying for each month:

1. Aweber autoresponder service - couldn't run my business without it.
2. Dedicated Server - pricey but it costs more to have my sites go down
3. Reseller hosting account - Site5.com
4. Stock investment newsletter - SpearReport.com
5. Stock trading market data and charting service - TC2000.com
6. Fulfillment service - customers have to get their orders shipped
7. TrafficSage.com - I'm not only the president, I'm also a client

I have a few more interesting examples that I will share once others join the conversation.

Hopefully this can lead to some good ideas that people can use.

I didn't include the domains. Being a domainer, renewal fees comes out to be well above $10k per year. Acquisition costs are even more with expired domains making a big chunk of the costs.

Another thing I pay for is membership dues each year to the CFA Institute for using the title Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). The crazy part is, I'm no longer in the investment field but I have to keep paying them or I lose the right to that title after working hard for 3 years to get it. Their retention rate must be like 99%.

What kind of prestigious membership can you create? The key is - the members must benefit in some way from being associated with your organization. If they must go through some type of challenging qualifications to be accepted, the membership will be viewed as being more valuable and they will keep paying.

Could this be done in Internet Marketing? Take a look at the Direct Marketing Association www.the-dma.org.

4-godaddy -I have 70 domains bought throughout the year so it seems every month I have to renew 1-3 domains so that is $10-30 monthly.

Besides all the 'normal' stuff like aweber and hosting, I also pay for a few continuity programs which I promote as an affiliate (even when they do not require it).

I forgot to add what I also pay in addition to hosting, ISP charges, domain reg fees:

- Traffic bug monthly subscription
- backlink packet
- fees for VPN
- I signed up with mailchimp and its free for the first 100 subscribers, I hope if I were to grow larger than that, those email marketing charges also...
_ I was also paying for adwords until I realized I was spending more on it than it was giving me returns

Further, these are things I would pay for, if I were making more money
- a war room membershp (or something like winners club for exclusive access to a quality forum)
- monthly offsite backup
- get a new, unique web design done for my sites
- put a caricature of myself in the blogs (studiofrost charges something like 30$ for this) and I would let it change every month there is also another service cartoonme.com but its a cartoon, not a caricature, so its a lot cheaper, less than ten bucks
- illustrate my posts with good quality illustration and/or photo from stock photo site.

I pay for everything upfront!

I actually have no monthly costs I dont like money leaving my account month in month out there is always teh risk that you dont have enough in there and the fines the banks are a pain. However I beleive also that pay for stuff when you can afford it.
