Show Me Internet Marketing Can Work For Me, For Real!

Here's my situation.

I wanted to say something like Show Me IM Can Work For Me, and Get Paid or Rewarded. However, I'm still figuring out Forum rules, and I don't want to get in trouble. On the other side, I want to motivate warriors to participate. Someone is helping you with something, you should return a favor, or at least, offer one honest - Thank you.
Rest assured that this isn't a vanity game. Maybe it is for you, but not for me. If I want to collect views and comments, I would write a completely different type of article. If you're going to feel great about yourself, when you hear that I honestly admire and congratulate you, OK. I'm not excluding a possibility to hire someone in the future, based on the findings and recommendations here.

So, let's see what I need.

Take Me To The Next Level

To make the long story short, I'm a copywriter with some ideas. At the same time, I'm fully aware that the simplest, but also the mission impossible way, is for me to write a novel. This novel would be a bestseller. It would eventually develop into a trilogy. The next thing you know, there's a movie based on my book. I'm filthy rich and decide to buy the Warrior Forum. Then, I can ban all those guys, who've broken my heart with their merciless comments. Yet, we all know, that's not very likely to happen. So, allow me to discuss some more realistic scenarios, and truly efficient Internet marketing solutions.

So, what do I want?

I want to be more than a freelance copywriter. I would like to publish my eBook, which is supposed to be successful and/or run a copywriting website, which will be some kind of my online company/agency or whatever. I believe that running a blog belongs to this website "category." Can Internet marketing make it possible for these ideas of mine to become a profitable and sustainable reality? How much I need to invest in my private Internet marketing cavalry, and what do I have to do to make it work for me?

Option #1 - eBook

Let's assume that I can choose an interesting topic to write about. Something I can find material that corresponds with my personal experience. For example, how to work as a copywriter, freelancer, or lose some weight. So, I can take care of writing. I have a friend, who can design me a pro cover and handle this Kindle formatting, or eBook formatting, whatever. I did some research. It's not a rocket science to publish your own eBook. Yet, who's going to read it?

Now, I'm thinking about Internet marketing. The ways to promote my eBook. I don't even dare to guess how many new eBooks get published on a daily basis. How I'm going to stand out from the "crowd?" Even if I manage the greatest eBook the world has ever seen, there's no way it's going to succeed on its own. I believe in the power of the word-of-mouth, but not on a mass scale. I myself am a mortal being, who can wait for hundreds of years for my eBook to become successful.

Should I "sacrifice" my eBook in order to promote my website/blog? Like, here you go read and enjoy, but spread the word and pay a visit to my website. I know that I should promote my eBook on social networks. But, I'm not extremely successful social. With a hundred friends on Facebook and LinkedIn, I have every reason to fear that only a handful of them will read. At least, I should get some "honest" reviews. Luckily from they will come from all over the world. One of the advantages working as a freelancer.

OK, let me hear how can Internet marketing help me promote my eBook? How much is that going to cost me? Is there something I can do on my own?

Option #2 - Website / Blog

As a freelance copywriter, I work on Freelancer and Upwork. For me, this is a fair deal. You pay a project and membership fee to get clients and be protected when it comes to payment. These two major platforms for freelancers change their fees and rules, from time and time. Honestly, not such a big deal. You are free to find clients on your won. But, you also have to accept all payment risks. We need to clarify some things right here and now, before this Option takes the wrong turn.

The so-called vanity website for freelancers, you can create in a couple of hours. Honestly, I don't see a point. You have a portfolio section on all freelance platforms. You also have LinkedIn. I had an idea, let me run my own copywriting website. Here's the trouble. How are you going to find it? If you Google "copywriter," "freelance copywriter," "copywriting," or something similar, the first thing you are going to see are those freelance platforms. I need to spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, for SEO services. For what? So, I can get the same thing I already have with $20 or $30 membership fee.

I saw a few copywriter rock star websites. They're the huge names in this business. I know I am no match. Yet, there are some clients out there, who can certainly appreciate the quality I can provide for my price. Again, I can find some guys to help me with the design. I will do the writing. Yet, why going through all the trouble, when my site is going to be invisible. Where am I going to find all the money needed for the life changing SEO?

One more clarification. I'm not looking for some free alternatives, which will get me nowhere. If I have to play, I will, but can I least know what I can expect in return? Allow me to do my math. Or, maybe there's no other way than to work as a freelancer on freelance websites forever.

Option #3 - Enlighten me

How can Internet marketing turn an average copywriter into an extraordinary money-making machine? Was this the right question to ask?

You may ask me, why I didn't do my homework? When I haven't been working on my projects, I was an enthusiastic researcher of the Internet marketing universe. So, have I learned? Internet marketing is definitely not a rocket science, but if you want to reach your goals with the rocket speed, then there's no other way than to talk to Internet marketer rocketeers.

It's always the right moment for a perfect comment

So, I'm going to sit and wait. I see there are some warriors, who will always mock or attack whatever you write. OK, whatever makes them happy. I am a Good Karma Warrior. I will find a way to express my gratitude. I will write a follow-up article, how I solved my problems. I will make sure that I mention warriors, who helped me. I can offer to write some stuff in return. Eventually, I may hire someone to help me. If I can afford some IM pro services, which work for real, why not? Let's see how many Good Karma Warriors are out there.

Yes, it's possible to use internet marketing to do well with whatever services you provide.

That's impossible to answer, at least not in the context of what you need to do...

No-one here knows your unique circumstances or what you need to do specifically.

However, the 2 things you need to build a successful online business in general are targeted visitors to your site and the ability to convert those visitors into buyers.

How you go about this is another matter entirely - this is the part where you'll have to figure out which path is best.
