How are Amazon Autoblogs Working Out for You?

I have a few quality, aged domains that also happen to describe a product.

I've been thinking of installing a few Amazon autoblogs on them. There are plenty of pretty attractively priced products on Amazon for my niche, and since my domain is aged and already has a PR, I believe ranking will be a bit easier too.

But do people actually convert through Amazon autoblogs? I somehow fail to see how, or why...

An Amazon autoblog is a blog that has a plugin which grabs products from Amazon, based on your keyword choices, and posts reviews and comments to your Wordpress blog. The idea is that you generate traffic, and people buy, and you make commission, all pretty much hands off.

I set up an autoblog, so I could review the process for a online income site I have. I don't have just Amazon products, but add a few articles etc, to give a bit more content. I chose the niche carefully, and the site is on the front page of Google.

I've not done any promotion, so traffic is dismal and there have been no Amazon sales. However it earns anything up to $1 a day in adsense income. It may do better if i put the time into getting more visitors. Other people have reported good results with Amazon autoblogs.

Scott, just as Audrey said. An Amazon autoblog grabs content from Amazon in order to generate sales for Amazon.

Audrey, I would imagine the niche has to be really important when making an Amazon autoblog. The right kind of product can be a popular sell if done right.

Quite right, sashas, I actually think my niche is good for an autoblog, there are tons of relevant products on Amazon. I think the issue is traffic.

An autoblog isn't just set and forget, it just provides your content, you still have to put the work in to get targetted visitors.

I have setup MANY Autoblogs for Amazon, eBay and Overstock. Individually and combined together.

If eBay pays out a dollar, then for similar traffic overstock pays out about 8 cents and amazon pays out about 3 cents.

so I think you have your answer. (and yes this is even with the new ebay QCP)

I agree. Ebay is definitely better if you are eligible to join.

I've had the same experience. Ebay pay very well, and the great thing is that when you send people there they get bitten by the browsing bug, BAD!

I think of all my ebay commission, probably about 5% or less comes from the actual product I was promoting. The rest were from people seeing something else they liked and grabbing that instead.

Yes, they work because the key is using domains that are the blogs keyword, but as I have tested with my sites over the last 10 years is that the title description has almost the same effect example( Turnkey websites for sale) I bet thats in the title of most if not all the first 10 on any search engine trust me and those blogs only works on low searched keywords.
