There are several ways to get paid through paypal.
With PayPal you can generate an invoice to send that has payment button on it. You can also generate an email with a payment button. Of course you can put buttons on your site to have people pre pay.
You will want to do some research to find out what fits you best:

Paypal is the best cos it's the biggest out there and gives a sense of security which is very important in online transactions.

Welcome to the WF CJ! Glad you finally made it

You should just use PayPal's normal buy button function. I'll make a vid for ya if you need it.

I actually disagree about Paypal. You know those horror stories you hear about people whose accounts are frozen by Paypal for no reason - I'm one of those people!

I used to use Paypal to invoice clients for writing projects until one day, Paypal arbitrarily decided that my account was suspicious. After one of my clients paid me for her completed project, Paypal froze the account and I couldn't access the money. After three months of arguing with them, I finally just refunded her money because that was all that Paypal would allow me to do. Then I invoiced her through Google Checkout and was paid within two days.

I use Google Checkout for all of my invoicing now and have never had a problem. Google also has Buy Now buttons that are very easy to use.
