What's wrong with google?

Hi Everybody!

I am new to internet marketing and this is my first post to Warrior Forum and i am much impressed by the contribution of experienced Warriors.I am really learning a lot from this forum. But i did't have any success upto now.But i am hopeful to make a fortune in IM Marketing, by enhancing my skills, knowledge and above all mind-set with dedication and hardworking through support of you guys...

Well let me come to the point.

I tried to find out about 10 keywords using Google adwords keyword search tool .
My criteria was to search keywords with less than 2000 QUOTED search results on google and with minimum 1000 searches(using google keyword tool).Good thing is i succeeded to find out many keywords following this criteria.

I noted down all these keywords on a paper.Today, about one week later i tried again to check Google Searches of All these keywrods and was surprised to see search results were totally different from initial ones.I dont know why? Has anybody else experienced something like this? Or I am the only lucky person who is favoured by Google in this way

Regards

    Hey Welcome!

Well that's nothing unusual. Note that the SE is updating every now and then.. new sites pop up every minutes, new articles created etc. No keyword software or tools can give accurate results. Use them as guideline.

Yup, use them as guidelines as the results can vary widely for the reasons named above, not to mention that google compiles the data from different data centers at any given time.

Hi Serenity090 and welcome to the warrior forum

As previous posters have mentioned don't think any keyword tool is giving you exact numbers, they're all estimates really. But equally so, don't let that put you off trying out some ideas.

The only way you'll truly know if something will work is if you try it for yourself!

I'd also suggest that for such low competition keywords it wouldn't take much to completely change the results. Whereas in general (not always) higher competition keywords take longer to change because it requires more effort to unseat the highest ranking pages.

      Cheers,
      Ben

That's why it's reasonable to use the only tool that actually gives you the results not as you want them but how they sh'ld be presented to you. The Google keyword search tool...every marketers' dream tool.

I don't know why everybody searches for keywords in quotes trying to find out how competitive a certain phrase is. Because the number of results is just the number of webpages containing this word, no matter where on the page. I always use the operator "intitle" within google as first competitiveness criteria. This search only shows you the "real" competition, namely homepages having the keywords in the title tag. These have done at least some basic onpage SEO.

The second step is to analyze the top10 ranked sites for their on- and offpage SEO criteria, only after that you can really know if it's even worth trying to optimise for this kw.

Concerning your question in the first post:
Probably you weren't connected to the same google datacenter when you researched your kw's the second time. This can give you very different results. Anyway, all the numbers you can get during the keyword research should be seen as estimates, because they're not that accurate as we IM's would like them to be

I am really thankful to all of you for quick response.....and really impressed by the speed of response by Warriors.......Thanks once again to all of you....especially to Mr Shawner....For intitle: search formula...Thats seems reasonable.

Another Question: What Keyword Research Criteria you guys use for Writing EZA Articles, that can easily be ranked to first Page of Google?
    With Respect To:
    Total Searches?
    Quoted Searches?
    intitle: results?
    etc etc

    Regards and Bless you All!
