Default Correct Rate Of Adding Links & Content To Your Site

Hello Everyone;

I am wondering what is the correct rate to add links and content to my site? I have a couple of ghost writers that provide content for my sites plus I have bought Directory Submitter for quick reference to link directories as well as submitting to article directories.

I have heard that if you add links or content at too fast of a rate that Google will penalize you for it is not being"Natural" as they say. Can anyone tell me about how many links and content I should add to my site max per month? Also I assume it is best to change up the anchor text somewhat?

Thanks Lots
Sarah

P.S- Does anyone know if deep link directories work all that well for your inner tier three pages?

I've seen this question a few times since being here so it isn't directed at anyone but I think the question itself indicates a possible problem.

In my humble opinion if you are thinking about how many links you can put to your site you are concentrating on quantity rather than quality. If you have any process that calls for quality it will slow your link building down to the point where you will never have to worry about doing too much too soon.

The thing about automated link building is that without manual intervention it creates just the kind of linking patterns that Google can penalize. If not now then in the future.

Personally I wouldn't hold back on the content side, if you have a lot to put out there you're not going to be penalized by google for dumping it all on your site at once. If you want things to look more natural for visitors you might pace it out more. As for links, there's not necessarily a penalty for building links too fast, the time you may notice your site drop is when you stop building them. (i.e. google sees a sudden burst of chatter about your site in inbound links and then nothing.) An exact number really isn't something someone can tell you, there are too many other factors involved.

Thanks for your reply's. I really appreciate it. I was not too worried about adding too much content at once I have just always heard that if you add links too fast that Google will penalize you whick is the last thing I want to happen afetr all the work we put into our sites. I thought I heard something like adding no more than say 30 links a month or 1-2 a day anything more than that and we will be penalized?

I use directory submitter but do not want to over due it and get banned by Google. So how many would you say max per month? Say 100?

I don't think 100 should be a problem that only around 3 a day. Also you may want to links not to just one page but internal articles and have those articles link to parts of your site. I make articles and submit them to 50 places a day and haven't been penalized by google.

I would have thought that 50 a day would have for surely gotten you into trouble with Google. What an eye opener. As for getting links to your inner pages I assume the best and only ways for doing this is through deep link directories and article submissions?
