I'm having issues finding a new theme for my personal blog.

Anyone have any suggestions that are similar to:

DIYthemes — Run a Killer Website with the Thesis WordPress Theme
BuzzBlog - Clean & Personal WordPress Blog Theme - WordPress

Will click ref link and buy if it's good.

Check out the Avada theme on Themeforest.com. I've used it a couple of times now and it has a lot of features and is very flexible.

I highly recommend the Divi theme of Elegant Themes and the Canvas theme of Woothemes.

Hands down Kleo located on Themeforest. It's multi-purpose so it comes with a lot of different layout options. I use it for one of my personal blogs that I call my "catch all" blog. Catches posts, tweets, from my other blogs and displays them nicely on my custom home layout.
Also look at Klein, Karma, plenty to choose from depending on your taste and level of difficulty.

I probably never use anything other than Thrive Themes again. At least not in the foreseeable future.

I also recommend the Divi Theme from Elegant themes as you have more flexibility and you can almost do any type of design with that theme

You should try mythemeshop, I've been using it for a long time, with a free version. I see that all their theme are light, SEO friendly and almost easy to use and config. It's very suitable for a newbie like me
