How to do IM on the cheap.

Use a computer at the library. Look around Walmart for a cheapo USB drive to put your stuff so you can take it with you.

Do everything yourself. eBook creation, easy with Open Source software like OpenOffice that can create PDF's.

Create your own webpages.. there are lots of HTML editors that are free.

Create your own graphics.. there are plenty of tutorials online. You can get an old copy of Photoshop on eBay.

Do your own research.

Learn to do your own SEO. Lots of articles and tutorials on that.

Don't buy info products, there are plenty of things on YouTube to give you instruction.

Write your own articles and use the free submitters or submit them by hand.

We could go on... but...

It might be ok to start this way on a limited basis, but how many high income earners do this? Its a poverty mentality. I'm not preaching to you, I'm preaching more to myself because I like to do everything myself and it's hard to let go and let someone else do things....Its even harder to pay someone for something like installing software, that I can do easily in a few hours ...

Read the E Myth...or 4 Hour Work Week... if you want to be wildly successful you can't be a one man band for long.

Gosh I hate it. I wanted to hide behind my computer, have it spit out millions, and never talk to anyone. That is just not realistic. You can get to a certain level doing that, but eventually you run out of time and can go no higher without help.

Kudos to you Scott for telling the truth.

I came to the same conclusion years ago and couldn't put into words as good as you just did.

I would try to explain this to others and was usually met with, EVERY THING IS FREE WHY SHOULD I BUY ANYTHING!?

Yea, I made a few dollars before I started buying selected products, but, I had my best month ever when I started buying, just for an example WSOs.

I bought WSOs that I never have used. However just the buying process and the comments I left on the products started me making money.

For the life of me I still can't figure out the mentality, "make big money without spending a dime."

I know this isn't exactly your message in your OP however to me it relates.

    Thanks,

    George Wright

Yep. Scalability and outsourcing. You find something that makes you X amount of money, then you scale it up by outsourcing the time consuming tasks. Pretty soon you're making 10X, although you have to reinvest a portion of it now. You might net 7X, but still that's for doing the same amount of work (or sometimes a lot less) personally.

Free website and/or landing page space at weebly.com or yola.com

It's best to own your webspace but these are great for starters as you gain valuable experience building landing pages for your aff and cpa offers.

    Hope This Helps!!

Learning to leverage is the greatest skill anyone can develop. You don't need to know tech stuff, just where to find someone. You don't need to know how to write copy, find someone who does. etc.

Now you do need money So you can start the way Scott says until you make some cash, then INVEST it back into your business to leverage your way to greater growth and success.

Create systems that allow your success to be replicatable. Don't be a one hit musical wonder. Be the band that cranks out good solid respectable music year after year and keep getting paid

Now if I could just follow my own advice LOL

I think Scott started off with a very good list. A couple of things I would add would be Freemind mind mapping software and building relationships with folks who can answer questions when you get stuck. Or even better your network could connect you with a JV partner that could give the momentum you need to get the cash flow going. I place more value on my personal relationships than any ebook, course, or software. Just a quick thought...

I agree wholeheartedly with Scott, but I do like to know how to do nearly all of my business tasks - I find that it helps with commissioning outsourcing and negotiating rates, etc. Also, some of it I rather enjoy and in any case I'm not yet big enough to outsource everything.
