Is it better to go create my own digital product to sell or join a network marketing company?

I've been reading a lot about how it might be good to do either one of these what is your take on this and why?

Hey aleangui,

Product creation or affiliate promotion? The age old question...

A) If you're an absolute beast at identifying people who want something, and can get their attention, affiliate marketing may be the way to go.

B) If you're an absolute beast at identifying people who fall into category A, and can get their attention, product creation may be the way to go.

Without more information from you, it's hard to be more specific. It all depends on what you want to do or what you're good at.

If you're just asking which direction can be more profitable, I'd say that most people most of the time will probably make more money selling their own products because they can make offers on the back end.

  To answer your question, I don't currently make my living from any online business, but I have made my living online twice in the past 5 years, and am currently building a business again.
  
  I have never sold my own "digital product," as you put it.
  
  I've made a lot of money selling other peoples products as an affiliate. And again, I am currently developing a business built around selling other peoples products.
  
  I know that I could probably make more money selling my own, but for a number of reasons it's just not what I want to be doing right now.

If you are new to internet marketing, then product creation would probably be a hard way to start.

Newbies would be better off joining a network marketing company because most of these companies provide you with training as well as marketing material.

I think the answer will depend on your skillset and how well it matches your choice.

If you do choose network marketing try to join under a proven superstar with the company that has integrated some form of coaching or group for his subscribers. That can really make a difference.

Hi Aleanguiano,

I've been in contact with digital marketers for 2 years and only the most experienced and adventurous choose to sell their own product.

Most newbies start doing affiliate marketing because it means less risk and they can take advantage of an established product and marketing tools. But with time, they learn more and more about the market they are promoting and use all this knowledge to create their own product and boost their income.

But each person is different, if you have a great product, market research backup, and believe you can be successful, go for it!

i love all the feedback from everyone. they are all great ideas! weather it be affiliate marketing or network marketing, what are some suggestions for the content that i should be using to rech people?
