Getting Instagram / Youtube Celebs to Endorse a Product?

I have marketing ADD, and the last few hours I've been really into reverse engineering the backlinks of some cosmetic type products.

A lot of links come from instagram or youtube.

It seems tons of instagram and Youtube Celebrities demo them or show them off.

I was just wondering --

Are there any products that talk about a strategy to growing a business this way?

How are these "influencers" contacted?

How are they compensated? Do they make an affiliate commission? Are they paid? Free product?

I was just wondering the most common protocol.

If anyone has a few words of wisdom, I'd love it

Those IG &YT celebrities talk money in cash! If you have it and a lot of it, just contact them directly and show your offer, and they will response to you ASAP. Simple!
You just need to be the first person in line at their front door before someone else.

Truth is, when it comes to endorsement, influencers have specific desires. Solution for you? Contact the influencer. Ask what they want.

I do that and, in reverse order, marketers do it with me. You need to let them know about the product or service (obviously) but you also need to talk about yourself (more important, actually).

To endorse a product, the influencer may want any number of things:
    • Cold, hard cash.
    • Endorsement in return.
    • Products.
    • Services.
    • Your wife.
Depending on the marketer asking the influencer for endorsement, cash is often far less desirable than return endorsements of some nature, which is why I say to tell them about yourself.

You're on the right track conducting Influencer Marketing. I rarely see it discussed on WF, which is why I decided to pop in and hurl down a few thoughts. It's an important subject. A necessary part of the mix, too, for most efficient marketing campaigns.

I hope some of the above helps.

It's pretty simple. Send them a message! The worst they can do is say no.

The first thing you need to do is find the large accounts in your niche, or the people you want to contact. Often big names have an email on their social accounts for "business enquiries". Utilise this. If they don't, send them a message on YT or IG ASKING for a business enquiry email.

It's a wonderful way to get traffic. I had one of my posts shared on Zelda informer and it got massive traffic. Sure, a lot of them won't want to share your stuff, but if there is an off chance that ONE will, it makes it completely worth it.
    1. You could offer to do a "swap" - share for share - this works for less famous people who also want exposure
    2. You could offer them free things in exchange for promotion (This is how the spanks woman got rich, she's now in Forbes Magazine)
    3. People LOVE free things. They don't care about sharing your photo or post if they get something cool, and they think it's worth sharing.

Good luck with your journey to the cover of Forbes!

I teach this in my WSO below in sig but most influencers and people with huge followings on Instagram have an email address or Kik username(kik is a smartphone instant messaging app) in their accounts bio so they can be contacted to arrange these type of deals. I do see a lot of celebs as in actresses promoting Fit Tea on their accounts all the time and I have the feeling a celeb with millions of followers can easily get 5 figures for one post where they casually mention the product and how they like it. The influencers can also make great money doing this.

From my experience most all of them take Paypal payments unless it's a huge brand that wants to send them a check but for most large accounts offering shoutouts/promos they take Paypal payments.

Just to make it clear a shoutout(even though this term is used more and more for shoutouts/promos) is when you tell your followers to follow this cool account you found which will help them get REAL followers and a Promo is basically an ad for a product or service that someone pays the influencer or holder of a large account to post.

It's pretty easy to contact them and propose an offer to them.

The good thing about internet celebrities is that they don't charge an arm or a leg but you actually get a decent amount of traffic.

    Generally it's called a "shoutout".
