You will find ton of tutorials there and you can even use the free tools to create baaner ads for yourself(good quality)

You can use photo editing tools like Photoscape, which is free and very simple to use. You can create and edit banners, photos, texts, etc without paying a freelancer. The tutorial on the tool here: https://simplyphotoscape.wordpress.com/

- use photoshop or gimp
- create a new file (size slightly bigger than your current banner)
- depends on how thick you want you border to be.
- color overlay your new file (depends on what color you want for your border)
- paste your banner to this new file.
- save it as jpg.
- done.

There are many ways to make a border on any graphics. First of all, you need to know what is the format of your graphics. Is it .Ai/ .psd/.jpg or some other format. You need to open this kind of file by Adobe Illustrator or, Adobe Photoshop. Then you can draw the border line by PEN TOOL/

For a quick border to any image, open the image in a graphics program (photoshop or other), choose to add a "stroke", pick the size in px and the color, apply, save and you're done.

Like Joseph said: open the image for example on Photoshop, add stroke size choose color, just one extra thing you should select the stroke to be: Inside/center
If you choose outside stroke you wont be able to see it unless your image is little bit smaller than the background. Good luck!

the best stuff is on youtube, its damn amazing how much stuff people will give away for free on there.

But realistically you are going to have to teach yourself to get good at it, or do my option

that is make sure you doing the right things, learing from the right people and outsource it on fiverr or elance. or soemthing like that.

Gimp is free from GIMP - GNU Image Manipulation Program

Free version of Photoshop. More than good enough to add a border to your banners.

1. Open your image in Gimp
2. From top menu select Filters/Decor/Add Border
3. Choose your color and width options from the pop-up box.
4. Save your changes

Very easy. No skills or learning needed.
