How best to acquire new clients via WF?

I'm an older freelancer. To find new clients, is it best to buy an ad, use classifieds, post a special offer, or what? I'm very new to using WF, am a retired CPA and speech writer with highly specialized skills in various categories, both business and otherwise. Mainly looking to acquire a few more long-term writing/editing clients. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks much.

      It is allowed to put a link to your website, freelance profile, LinkedIn profile, blog, and similar in your signature? Honestly, I didn't read the WF patiently. And, I had my thing with the "articles phase," so I'm afriad to discuss this possibility. I began to enjoy my time here for the first time, the least thing I need is for someone to stigmatize me for a client hunt here.

      And this "classified section," I have to check that one too. Paid ads or? Have to see.

    As someone else just mentioned -- place an ad in the Warrior for Hire section of the forum. Consider offering a reduced rate in the beginning to get some testimonials. Then link to your ad in your signature.
