Would appreciate any advise.

Have been retained to sell items (a lot) for an Estate of a friends aunt who recently passed away of cancer.

Items are mainly Collectables and still in original boxes (unopened):

Toys: The Chevron Cars
Barbies
Three Stooges
Bettie Boop
101 Dalmations Limited Edition
Mickey Mouse
Etc.

Glass Ware: Mikata
Lennox
Etc.

I do not have any experience with Ebay or Amazon. After a quick research, these items add up to some real money if sold over the internet (versus garage sale).

I am actually overwhelmed. Would appreciate any advice, suggestions, etc.

Here's some tips from my own experience with Ebay. At one point I decided to move from one end of the country to the other and sold EVERYTHING in the space of a month. It was intense! So here's some things to think about:
    • Take lots of really clear pictures, because people just don't read.
    • Any key points that can't be covered by a picture, repeat multiple times, again because people just don't read.
    • While people are bidding on your items, go and read up a bit on their history to try and weed out scammers.
    • If you're doing a lot of auctions, go and get your bubble wrap and so on in bulk, before you get started.
    • Take the time to package your items really safely and thoroughly, people really appreciate it.
    • Insist on tracked post, and insured post, to make sure that the items get there properly.

I can't think of any others at the moment, but if I do I'll come back and post them.
