Tons of visits from t.umblr.com...??

I recently launched a site. I've gotten lots of traffic from reddit & some other forums, but this morning, I'm getting a ton of traffic from "t.umblr.com." There are no other details.

I've tried searching Tumblr for my site but can't find any posts.

Any idea what this could be? Is there a service that wraps links in "t.umblr.com"? Any idea how can I figure out where these visits are coming from?

There's a umbler.com site, a hosting site in a Spanish speaking country, it seems. Might it be them?

Interesting. The address t.umblr.com redirects to Tumblr, so I'm assuming they own it / are somehow using it.

As you said, t.umblr.com (a subdomain of umblr.com) redirects to tumblr.com, but may have nothing to do with "ownership".

I would guess that one or the other owner identified the potential confusion that might ensue if a visitor accidentally inserted a "." when trying to get to tumblr and the problem was resolved by the staff at umblr.com simply creating a subdomain with the redirect.

Nice theory, and if true, that's mighty considerate of them. It didn't cross my mind that strangers on the internet could be so nice to each other

Not a whole lot. 683 that day I posted, than sharp drop-off to 50, 40, and then ~0. I don't think they're from robots. I actually got activity, signups, and new users from that bump.
