what was your FIRST EVER online income method that worked for you?

At the beginning of your journey in online business, what was the first
method that earned you income that you consider as good?

It doesn't have to be a lot of money. Just the amount that made you feel
that you are in the right direction.

Please share what you did and if you want, how much you earned.

The first method that made me earn money was to create a product (sound pack) for other music producers like me.

First sale was for 67$ and felt so good, I screamed my head off with my arms wide open looking up to the sky!

From then I knew making money online wasn't just a saying but that it could happen.

You can also earn money as an affiliate! I made some with a cpl offer (cost per lead), for each person that registered to a free online marketing course I would get 1.50$. That was pretty cool!

Depending on your skills, you can also freelance and advertise your services on upwork.com. A lot of people like to outsource little tasks in their business that they don't want to do (data entry, social media managing, etc).

So money is everywhere: you just have to decide what your purpose is and go at it ALL IN, and to stay consistent at it!

    Hope this helps!

Back in 1999 or so, I posted an affiliate link on the original Warrior Forum. (Note there are new rules now about affiliate links in posts and signatures.) Then I received a check in the mail.

I forget the amount but I do remember the feeling. I knew this thing could work if I could figure it all out and get going.

In 2002 I started licensing photos professional from my online galleries. One of my first image sales was a pretty good one with a single pic earning me roughly $1000. Nope, not nearly as much of that money in the market these days.

    Cheers

I sold products on Amazon, and made 1k in a few days. It was neat. You see your mentors do it, but really don't feel it until you do it.

For me, the easiest way to earn money is reading email, I don't remember exactly, it's called PTR (Paid to read). I've used to read email everyday, join many PTR networks and open and read every messages daily. I did it for a time at morning. However now, I don't do it anymore

I made my first sale, selling an affiliate product from clickbank about "Cellulite" through a squeeze page. I guess it was in May 2013 and earned somewhere around $73.

I woke up in the morning, logged in to my clickbank account and found that I made my first sale. I didn't knew who bought it or where the traffic came from. But it felt so good, I took a screenshot of my first sale. That was one of the happiest moment of my life. It made my day. I went to office, riding my bike all whistling and singing.

In 2011 I put up a review site for a launching Clickbank product in the make money online niche.

The product was called Massive Passive Profits.

Two weeks before launch date (found on JV Notify Pro) I purchased massive passive profits review.com.

I optimized the site and content for the the url keyword.

I found other websites promoting the product and rewrote their content.

I found information about the product creator and rewrote it.

I pointed links from as many article directories, social media sites, and related forum profiles and signatures to my site as possible.

A week before launch my site was # 2 on Google and slowly slid down the rankings until launch day when my site was # 7.

On launch day I made over $300.

    Life.
    Changed.

    Cheers.

Well things have changed but six years ago for me it was Adsense and getting around 4 to 5 thousand people per day to my page with my ads on it was making me around $350 to $400 per day. Its a very cool feeling when you see results and money in your accounts.

The first money I made online was by putting up a website with a webpage about an unusual service I was selling. I was #1 on Google for the specific term, for several years, and made a few thousand from that.

The first reliable method I found was the "conduit" method with the Amazon affiliate program. Unfortunately, now you can't use Amazon for such things (because they don't allow you to mention a price, or a user-rating, or a customer-comment, without using their API, or any "summary" or "generalization", so you can't really add any value).

But those were years ago, and I have learned a lot recently

I sold a $500 product that paid me a $50 commission. I was grateful for the sale but wished the profit potential was more than 10%. But it still was my first sale that I ever made.

I made this sale in the same niche as I am currently involved in heavily...

    MMO - Make Money Online.

I used Microsoft Ad Center (now bing ads) with PPC (Pay Per Click) and generated some traffic and leads.

One person left their phone number so I called them back and they ended up buying the product.

No hard selling or pitching just having a nice conversation on the phone.

Today I won't call anyone to make a sale. I don't need to.

    Lastly...

In regards to finding the 'right' opportunity for most people...

I don't think it's so much finding the 'right' opportunity or product to sell as a new marketer. I think most new marketers have a problem or issue with the speed it takes for them to start 'seeing' results.

Most people just expect way too much too fast in regards to their money getting process.

Most people (maybe even you reading this right now) don't spend 'enough' time learning, taking action and mastering any (1) marketing method.

My first online income was generated from marketing efforts using the old GoTo.com search engine back in 2000. It was novel new concept using "PPC" where you would get charged for clicks to your website. I had registered a weight loss domain name which I redirected to a replicated website of a nutritional network marketing company I was the national marketing director for.

It was tremendously cheap back then & most of my clicks cost me only 1-5 cents (yes... targeting weight loss keywords). Bidding competition wasn't strong whatsoever in the early days. I was amazed when my first retail customer commission occurred with many more to follow.

Amazon Affiliate. Picking items that cost $200+, writing real and helpful reviews, and earning commission off them. I built pretty spammy backlinks so my income from those review sites didn't last long but I sure learned my lesson... which was to build a PBN! haha.
