Cold Traffic & Warm Traffic

So we hear a lot about cold traffic and warm traffic. What is the difference?

Simply put cold traffic is traffic coming and seeing your name and site for the very first time. As your traffic see's you more and more whether its through email or even a banner on a website they will warm up to you and the click response will go up.

Getting the good clicks and conversions from your cold traffic before they warm up is a good habit to form. This is good for your landing pages and other things.

Cold traffic and warm traffic. It's fun paying attention to this stuff because you can do more and the results come in much easier and more consistent.

Cold Traffic: Someone clicks a banner. The traffic that you get it's cold traffic.

Warm Traffic: Someone you know, sends you one or two emails talking about the benefits of a brand new product. You prepare people for something (an event etc). Same with Early Bird Lists.

    It's basically something like that.

    Hope it helps.

    Diego.

I look at it a little differently.

Cold Traffic: people not ready to buy (they are "cold" or unresponsive to your offer)

Warm Traffic: people ready to buy (they are hot to trot, anxious to find a solution)

You could have first time visitors to your site that are warm. This is the goal of targeted marketing campaigns - finding prospects that will resonate with your message.

Cold traffic can be made to "warm up" if they are targeted to your niche. It's the reason you take subscribers and nurture them over time.

The best way to warm up cold traffic is by giving them something like valuable information. When you are constantly giving, it shows up in your energy and vibration...it shows up in every fiber or your being. And people will naturally be drawn towards you like a magnet.

This is the idea of giving before you get. And it helps a lot more if you can give from your heart.

After a while...this giving (value) process become a habit and no cold market will ever worry you again.
