any good webhosting service ?

Hello everyone,

I'm IT software engineering student and i want to start my own web site and make profit by affiliate marketing.
I already did the study and have found my niche and now i am looking for the best way to host my site.

I have a MSDN account (which i got for free) which means i have access to Microsoft cloud Azure with 150$ per month to spend ( Virtual machines, sql servers ...).
I'm running a wordpress app in it using this service plan (Standard 44$/month) : see picture

Attachment 24178
characteristics :
1 core
1.75 RAM.
50gb storage
5 SNI, 1 IP custom domains
daily backup
5 slots web app staging
Traffic manager (geo availability)

and I have a domain name binded to it.

do you think i should host it in my azure account or look for another hosting company? if so, what good reasonably priced web hosting service would you recommend me for a start in this field???

If you already got free hosting then just use it.

For other VPS options you can check out those ones:
    digitalocean.com
    linode.com
    vultr.com

And don't go with HostGator the support is one of the worst in industry.

Hi, I am not here to make an affiliate sale out of you. But, believe me or not, Godaddy is the best and cheapest web hosting service you will come across. But there is a trick that most of us miss. Here is how it goes:
Google for "Godaddy discount coupons". You will get loads of websites sharing free discount coupans (some of them even offer up to 90% off!). When your cart is ready, try random discount coupons and see which of them gives you best value.
Take my words on this: With discount coupons, Godaddy is the cheapest web hosting service (they are the market leaders as well).
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks

Have a look at hosting services from a2hosting.com and ifastnet.com.
Plans are full-featured and prices are rock-bottom.

How about doing a search on here and reviewing the other 100's of threads that have been started asking about hosting services.

I'm a big fan of Host Gator. I'm new to it also, but it seems very simple to use and relatively inexpensive (~$12 a month).

Let me know if you find anything better.
Please do some research before recommending Hostgator!! HG is absolutely awful in both customer service and speed, significantly overcharging for what they are supplying!!

If you want to learn about hosting, I would recommend spending some time on webhostingtalk.com. It is the best site for learning about hosting and finding the best solution that fits your need.

I use siteground and like it. Their performance is fine, no problems. But their support is great. And that's why I stick with them.

How did you get the hosting for free? Is there any possibility you could loose access to the hosting platform? I.e you have access as part of your course.

If there answer to that question is NO, then keep the hosting platform. There's no need to change it. But if there is a slight possibility I would buy some webhosting. You don't want to have all of your hardwork lost!!

Now in regards to hosting sites; bluehost and hostgator are pretty well known around here. IMO I have read a few reviews and I personally was going to choose bluehost over hostgator but hey, it's all up to you...

That Microsoft Cloud hosting seems to be decent, so you probably don't need other. But when you graduate you will probably lose that MSDN account (it's only for students).

This is one of the questions we get asked all the time by our clients as well.

Siteground is fine and they offer 50% discount + free domain and free migration. Hostgator has downtime and speed issues with their data center in Provo, Utah so you should better avoid it. Bluehost is also owned by EIG just like Hostgator but somehow seems to be better, our clients are mostly satisfied. We have also heard positive things about A Small Orange. If you want your Wordpress website to be really fast, you can go with WP engine.

Regardless of which hosting you choose, make sure to find and use Hosting Coupon,so that you can get discount up to 50% and free domain or first month for $0.01.

Feel free to ask if you have more questions.

    Hello everyone,
I'm amazed by the number of replies I got. Honestly thank you all for your advises.
The thing is, I'm new to this, which means I never tried a cpa offer, google/bing ads nor a tracker tool, and I want a shared hosting fast and reliable to start testing all these things...
Now after reading all the bad reviews about EIG hosting brands, I'm thinking about one of these :
    Namecheap (Professional), Siteground (StartUp).
especially the first one because it's relatively cheap and I guess it'll be good for a start.

so what do you think guys ?
