What do you do with leads you have to turn down?

I'm at my limit for how many clients I can take on but I still have a healthy amount of leads.

Should I let these leads die and hope some of them stick around for the 3-12 month waiting period?

    Hi,
What niche are you in. You may be able to sell them for a reasonable price. Depending on how you obtained the leads that is. If people opted into an email list, keep them and send them useful information. If you paid for the leads, then you may have the potential to onsell the leads to someone who is interested.

    Hope this assists.

  • Since you have your handa full so you cannot take on more clients becuase if you do you might dilute your services .

You have basically 2 options either to increase your team size or you can inform these extra leads with something like this "Currently we are in a phase we are continously trying to improve our services so that we can provide more quality to more people if you can stick around for xyz days as my way of saying thanks to you i am going to give you xyz discount for sticking with me"

If you do not inform them do not nexpect them to wait on their own .

    I wish you success

I'm in a similar boat, or I was until recently. I wasn't able to respond to new enquiries quickly enough, let alone provide quotes and accept new business. While it is a great feeling, it made me bring on new support and also consider restructuring my business systems in such a way to allow for this growth. As well as this, I had to ask myself if I was charging a high enough rate to sustain the level of work as it was draining the life out of me. Fast forward 3 months and I have a great person who is doing some overflow work for me and I also have my husband who is a BDM and Sales wizz joining the business to compliment my marketing offering in the next month. It is a good situation to be in, however you do need to be honest with your clients and set reasonable waiting periods. If a current client needs more work done, I will always put this ahead of any new client enquiries as they have been with me for the longest and I want to show that I am dedicated to their business. All the best.

Awesome! Why so long? I suppose you can keep in contact with them and or refer them to a friend or business partner...

My contracts normally last between 3 months and 2 years.
