Infected WSO's Being Sold and Given Away

I do not know if any of you have had any trouble with some of the products on here but some of mine have shown up as having viruses in them and some of them I have had for years.

I also have downloaded some products from the paid area for Warrior members and they also were infected.

Don't you think if someone sells you a product that has a virus in it and it shows up when new virus definitions are made and is not a false positive that whoever sold it or gave it away should be banned for life if they made the product?

I understand that some of you are giving away other people's products and not know and I can see some forgiveness especially if it passes the virus test of today.

I've never had that happen with a WSO - though I've had alerts on a couple freebies from the War Room. I stopped downloading freebies here some time ago due to that.

Sounds like it might be your computer that is infected. I had that happen, too, with a nasty virus that kept re-installing itself. That virus was so smart I had to rename the virus-killing program because the virus would recognize the name and prevent installation.

If you down something from the forum and find it infected - report it to the help desk or mods so they can check it out or take it down.

Are you sure they aren't false positives? I've seen that happen a lot recently, I've never seen any wso's come with a virus and I am sure it would be picked up very quickly.

I also think it must be your computer as I have downloaded several products from the forum and not had any problems.

You guys really should take your life savings and just go ahead and hand them over to the thieves.

By your logic updates for virus programs are useless because there are no new viruses being created.

Malicious code is also not dangerous and is doing no harm since it has not been identified as bad by a virus program. Even though it has been placed in something years ago.

It cannot be an evil programmer that is wanting even more money from a product they are selling.

I have purchased several WSOs that delivered software that have popped warnings, and I have downloaded software from the War Room that threw as many as a dozen positives in virus total.

Some the warnings I have seen were legit, others were false positives triggered because of the author's use of UBot Studio.

It's probably a local virus/malware on your pc. That's where I'd start looking first. Try windows defender, norton, etc.

If you come up clean, upload the wso to google docs. It will run a scan. If the wso files are infected, then let WF support know.

A lot of the scraper software (and others) offered on this forum have thrown a bunch of virus total warnings (false positive or otherwise).

Below is one that threw 8 virus total warnings on the 64 bit file.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/war-room...c##post9406416

This one threw 13 virus total warnings.

You got the viruses from the PDF's themselves? Or do they zip up the files and thats where the virus is coming from?
