Hi guys, I have been seeing an opt in rate of 30% on my website and wanted to know how much yours is. Is it possible to get it at 45%? |

I'd be blown away by a 45% opt in rate, that'd be mighty good. Mighty Well done on 30% Many would settle for 10% of that |

40% is certainly possible for a dedicated squeeze page. Are you talking about a squeeze page or just a normal content page with an optin form on it.

In that case, 40% definitely possible I currently have two one at 44% and the other at 39%.

One thing to try - a simpler squeeze with video. Another thing to try is simplifying your squeeze page - strip it down to the minimum (I have one that does very well with just an ecover and opt-in). Once you find the overall design that results in the highest conversion, then start doing small tweaks to that design. | |

30 is really great for start but you can get it much much higher. I won't say my numbers coz people just wouldn't believe, but I had and still have video squeeze pages that gotten more than double of 30%. offcourse it also important where your traffic come from, and the market, etc. If you don't want to expose your site in public send me a PM and maybe i'll have some specific tips i could give you |

I believe that too much importance is placed on opt-in rates. If you put FREE all over your site consistently you can get opt-in rates as high as 70%, I have seen it myself. But the reality is you end up with lower quality subscribers, a large percentage will just be making up the numbers. That is why double opt-in is often better despite the lower conversions, if someone doesn't make the effort to confirm their e-mail address it is unlikely they are going to buy anything you ever promote. With lists you want quality, not quantity. |

| Well it takes split testing and some time but, as someone else said in this thread it's mostly about where your traffic is coming from. I'm sending Highly targeted traffic to my squeeze pages. If people get to my squeeze page and it's exactly what they wanted, they are willing to give their email without hesitation.

Post in your squeeze page so we can give you feedback on how to improve it. PS: I have managed 47% opt-in. I never managed to break over 50% for any sustained period of time. |

I think the site looks really sharp... simple, basic, to-the-point... there's something to be said for that. Here's one odd split-test idea... what about merging the two boxes so it flows as one? My eyes did a sort of double take with the line between the content... Awesome job on your opt-in rate... |

Also the black/gray arrow above the username/password... it doesn't stand-out as much, but it's not like it is bad or anything.
