question about "real" shares
I tried out a service that said it promotes you on social media and that the shares are real and organic. I took that to mean that it targeted them to my topic (though to be fair, the info given was very vague). I now realize how naive I was.
I got shares, but not traffic, so I'm thinking the shares may be real, but they are given by people who were asked (or paid) to share, and that any benefit is from social signals alone.
Is there any chance of this harming my site in Google? (Social signals but no traffic from them).
