    I think that if you're going to do paid advertising lie SEO or Ad Words you're going to get results - however will they be the results you want? Fresh content and marketing is also a key area that should be woven into your marketing and advertising plan too.

    Do you have a budget, or not?

    If you have a budget and know how much it costs to get a customer, and if you know how much your customer is worth, then it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

    So...

    If you have money and a sales funnel, PPC can be the surest bet.

    If you don't have a budget, then content marketing is the best way to get traffic.

    While one marketer uses ONE source to get the best traffic for themselves, there is a chance that it may not work out for you or others.

    The best advice I can give you is to test all sorts of ways to see what works best for you. If you want long term success with your marketing, you need to realize what is working well for you and what doesn't.

    When you test one source and it costs you money, see if it is producing the results that you are looking for. If it doesn't, make a note that this traffic source did not work for you.

    Have a list of the winners and the losers. That's what I am doing right now too and have in the past.

      Totally agree with this!

      There are different things to take into account- not least what you may be driving traffic towards. It honestly is about spending smaller chunks on money on things such as solo ads, banner ads etc. While these come at a cost, and dependent on who or where you are buying the traffic from they put you more in control than 'free' traffic.

      By free traffic, i mean things like social media marketing, blogging- while they don't necessarily cost, money wise, they do have a cost in regards to how much time you spend on it. Free traffic, in my opinion, is great but it can take a fair bit of time to get some real traction with it. But, if you genuinely want to put in the time, and commit to consistent action with your free traffic then you will see results.

  • You need to use the Social Media site. You can use the Facebook Fan page. You need to have many followers. In this way, you may get the best targeted traffic.     It depends on your niche. I've seen websites do really well with nothing but free social media traffic. Some websites operate solely off of forum traffic. Find your target audience, wherever they are, and redirect them to your website. That doesn't always mean that you need paid advertising to do so.

  • Paid advertising is not the best way; there are a lot of ways to get good traffic. You can get traffic from SEO and social media as well. The advantage of running a paid ad campaign from SEO and SMM is you get faster results. However, you also have to consider your sales conversion if you are also successful in this area. A successful marketing campaign is not only based on the number of traffic to a website but it is also based on how well your traffic converts.

    What matters is WHY you want the traffic and WHAT you want that Traffic to do!

    If have a lot of money or u r with silver spoon then you can do paid ads, but not everyone.
    Qoura, forums, discussion boards, blog comments, social media and sharp on page optimization can get you real traffic. Just you have to target your authentic audience.

    Paid advertising is certainly the quickest way to get traffic. But not all traffic is equal. For example, I went to Fiverr and got 6700hits,but not one single opt in. I don't believe that they were genuine hits and I told the seller that.


    With paid advertising you must make sure that you get targeted traffic. That is to say your ad goes out only to people who are interested in what you have to offer.


    Start with solo ads. You can find good solo ad sellers on Facebook or a company called udimi(dot)com. When you find a seller with good feedback, and who has a subscriber list of people in your niche, purchase just a small number of clicks, say 50 - 100 to test out your link. If you make money, reinvest it in more solo ads and gradually scale it up. And use different solo ad sellers. Don't just use the same one.

    It really depends of the type of your website. Something will work somewhere and on the other place it won't. For example, if you're promoting some kind of service, social and organic searches may perform well, but if you're selling a product, I believe email marketing and such would do much better in the beginning.

    Like others have said, it really depends onyour niche But my favorites are FB, Instagram and Reddit!

    Most of my traffic is free and comes from Facebook (fanpage), but paid advertising is the fastest way to get traffic. And unless you continuously invest in paid advertising, it'll be short term. Whereas Fanpage traffic can be relatively steadier.

    Then comes the question of accurately targeting traffic so that it's people in your niche that would be interested in what you have to offer.

    To grow your traffic, invest time creating marketing material for the social media platform that works best for your business. Use tools like Canva to quickly create beautiful images! Content marketing, posting on forums and guest blogging are techniques that help increase traffic.

    Also what's the point of growing your traffic if they don't convert? Create call to actions to encourage getting their email or future sale. Use CTA's to promote contests/giveaways as well.

    The best traffic source nowadays is Facebook Ads for generic purpose.

    Best option is video of course. Google owns you tube and will give your videos top ranking in its search engine. It is a lot easier to rank if you have a video, that a blog post or a web page. Traffic is easy to get and you do not have to pay. However, if you do pay... you can get excellent super max conversion.

    Get over to stock footage for free and pick up some B roll for your mini movie. It is free and that means no green. Video is what I do rec. It is where we want to be if you wanna SELL your product or service. Leverage you tube to bring traffic to you. Content creation is the key to winning. Do not let any one confuse you.
